David Kuff was born and grew up in Washington, DC. Before he started handling actors, personalities and entertainment clients, he directed advertising and public service campaigns for corporate brands such as Shell, Marriott Hotels, All Nippon Airways, U.S. Navy, Dr. Jekyll's Craft Beer, Anaheim Home & Garden Show, Red Bull, the Diamond Council of America, Carl's, Holland Flower Council, and Guthy-Renker.
He got his debut as an entertainment publicist when he was asked to handle "Harry Blackstone Jr.," the renowned American stage magician, author and television performer who is said to have pulled 80,000 rabbits from his sleeves and hats. He next adventure was promoting Cassandra Peterson, best known for portraying the horror hostess character "Elvira, Mistress of the Dark" and host of "Elvira's Movie Macabre" (2010). When asked to do publicity for American Cinema Foundation's "Freedom Film Festival" that rewards feature film and television projects promoting democratic pluralism and inclusion, he created Wilshire Marketing Group Entertainment.
With 15 years experience in film and TV publicity, he handled the Australian feature film release "Bullet Down Under" (1994), was executive producer for "Until The Night" (2004) starring a hot new actor named Norman Reedus, the current star of "The Walking Dead." He went on to represent Peter Doyle, supervising digital colorist for "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" (2012), "The Legend of Tarzan" (2016), "Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them 2" (2018), "Aladdin" (2019) and many others, achieving feature articles in American Cinematographer, Variety, The Hollywood Reporter, Cinefex, Los Angeles Times and other news media.
He went on to spearhead publicity for "Mansion of Blood" (2015), and "Mamaboy" (2016), both starring Gary Busey, and co-produced the Night of 100 Stars Annual Academy Awards Viewing Gala. Starting in 2014, his association with Lou "The Incredible Hulk" Ferrigno and Lou Ferrigno, Jr., co-star of "S.W.A.T." (2017), helped The Ferrigno Legacy fitness expo in Palm Springs become one of the world's largest professional bodybuilding events.
He established actor Lou Wegner "Teenage Cocktail" (2016) as national youth ambassador for the American Humane Association "No Animals Were Harmed®" unit which certifies films and TV shows that meet strict animal actor standards of care, and is a judge for the "Hero Dog Awards" on Hallmark Channel. He recently co-produced "Facing Arnold," a National Geographic Channel one-hour special starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, Lou Ferrigno and others.
He is a consultant for Pathfinder Pictures, a film development and production house with a library of more the 500 titles in Venice, CA. He also consults for "Tyler Henry Hollywood Medium" on E! Channel, the official "Star Trek" and "Supernatural" fan conventions, "Iron-Ice," a Chinese American film, Hollywood columnist Tony Rizzo who writes syndicated features for Hearst / King Features, and handles publicity for Gameplay Partners, an investment vehicle and digital publisher of industry leaders focused on V/R, A/R, e-Sports and entertainment.
