Community theater, movie and music junkie. Lifelong resident of Kentucky. Lori obtained a bachelor of science degree in nursing from Eastern Kentucky University. She knew from an early age she wanted to be a nurse but also learned she had a passion for performing from watching "The Carol Burnett Show" with her family. The youngest of 3, she was used to being the butt of many jokes and, knowing no better, embraced the role very early on. In school, she was involved in plays as early as age 8 all the way through middle and high school where she learned to play piano and was involved in choir- full ensemble, girls ensemble, as well as Madrigals in grades 11 and twelve. Not knowing the types of job opportunities that would be available to her (or the guarantee of such) with a theater degree, she chose to obtain a nursing degree. Her father lost his job as a coal miner and left soon afterward. Lori and her mother got by with help from her grandparents and her mother's jobs as a babysitter. However, she returned to her love of performing through a local community theater in Danville, Kentucky, which afforded an opportunity to perform onstage at Kentucky's oldest outdoor theatre, Pioneer Playhouse with her first of two onstage performances being alongside the late Johnny Crawford of The Rifleman. She also performed onstage with Georgetown community theater, played the role of a nurse instructor in an American National University commercial and the part of a nurse (uncredited) in an episode of "The Calling of Lizzy McBride". She was also cast as an extra in the upcoming feature film "I Can". She recently became a member of the Lexington, Kentucky murder mystery dinner theater troupe, Murder and Merriment, where she has performed in 4 shows to date.
