Multimedia Artist, Writer, Director, Art Director, and Journalist specialized in audiovisual media, with postgraduate studies in Contemporary Art and academic formation in Sculpture, Photography, Cinematography, Multimedia Techniques, Radio, Theater Direction, Graphic Design, Art, and Cultural Public Policies.
Along with his artistic career, he has developed an important body of work as a media and image consultant, as well as an audiovisual writer, producer, and director for radio, TV, and cinema.
The issues of the LGBTI community have been one of the main components in his work since 1983 when he produced and directed the first documentary film addressing homosexuality in Venezuela. In 1994, Planeta published his book, "Amos de la Noche," a collection of interviews with members of the LGBTI community and other minorities. In 1992, his play, "Algo Ocurrió Camino a Imparare," was awarded the A.N. National Playwright Award.
His video art and artistic films have received Official Selection at several film and video art festivals worldwide, and they have been exhibited at galleries and art fairs in Latin America, Europe, and the USA. Solo shows of his video art and installation art were held at two important National Contemporary Art Museums in Caracas.
