Noomi Nielsen is a classically trained, multilingual, Scandinavian actress and model. As a child she was surrounded by a rich value for music, and singing which became a passion for her, she also played the flute, loved to write her own songs and as a teenager discovered her love for acting. After growing up in rural Faroe Islands, and living in the UK, Noomi moved to California to pursue her passion for the performing arts. She graduated with Honors as Valedictorian from Bethel Conservatory of the Arts in May 2023. Within months of graduating she was cast in her feature film debut Last Tour Home directed by Baylee Toney.
In comedies and dramas alike, Noomi brings a thoughtful and clever approach to the characters she portrays. Her ability to bring out soft delicacy in stern characters, and complexity in the innocents, brings something unexpected to any story she is a part of. From classical period dramas to imaginative and absurd modern stories, Noomi's passion is to be relatable to her audience and inspire growth. As well as being a proficient singer and actress, she has experience behind the camera as a script supervisor, associate producer and PA.
Noomi studied Voice and Speech under the Tony nominated educator, Teri Lewis Parker and Shakespeare under the Globe's Kate Alexander. She is also trained at various degrees in Uta Hagen, Michael Chekhov, Meisner, On Camera Techniques and the works of Anton Chekhov. Theatre credits include Beth March in Little Women directed by David Norona, The Lab Theatre CA; Susanna Walcott in The Crucible directed by Fabiano Altamura, The Lab Theatre CA; Gretchen in Boeing Boeing, Redding Performing Arts Center CA; Mrs. Higgins in Pygmalion, The Lab Theatre CA; Soloist/ensemble in Love Story, East Theatre CA.
