Peter Hrisko(1965-2004)

Peter was born in Cleveland, Ohio on 28 May 1965, where he attended St.
Louis Elementary School and graduated from Benedictine High School in
1983. Peter was the quarterback and co-captain of the 1982 football
team and played basketball all four years. He was also Sports Editor of
the school newspaper. He graduated from Michigan State University in
1987 with a B.A. in English. He was also a three-year letterman on the
varsity football team. While in college, he studied for a semester in
Cambridge, England. A year later, he returned to England to play
quarterback for the Oxford Bulldogs. He earned a Master's degree in
English from Case Western Reserve University in 1990. After completing
his education, he began his writing and teaching careers in Los Angeles
where he lived for the past 14 years. In June of 2003, Peter's first
book, They Can't Take That Away from Me: The Odyssey of an American
POW, was published.
