Michael Jones began his recording career playing in bands and engineering at studios in North Carolina and NYC. Educated at UNCA (BS) and NYU (MMMT), Michael has worked in the audio production industry since 1992. Shortly after graduating from NYU in 1997, he discovered the power of documentary films during his first trip to Cuba to film Judith Grey's "Sin Embargo." Since those early days, Michael has collaborated with Academy Award winning filmmakers like Barbara Kopple and Charles Ferguson as well as Sundance Award winning filmmakers like Lauren Greenfield. Based in NYC, he continues to work in the international film and television industry as a location sound recordist & audio post-production engineer - specializing in documentary films.
