Madds Dittmer is a film maker and stand up comedian currently based in NYC. Madds began performing stand up comedy at fifteen, and started interning at the Bay Area based production group Youth Beat Media at 16. They are best known for their versatility technically, musically, and comically. Their film "Star Crossed," was shown at the New Parkway Theater this past spring and features in J the Jewish news. Over the past year Madds made six short films of varying genres, "Fight Like a Queer," "Safety Plan," "Comagin," "Bunny Teeth," "The Goldfish," and "Can I Walk U Home." Madds' film style has been described as "Set design, acting, and costumes are akin to Wes Anderson, but shot composition and editing flow have a Dogma 95 grunge feel." As of 2023 they are in New York City. They are a member for Jewish Voices For Peace and International Solidarity at Pratt. As well as film-making and comedy, Madds writes country folk music and poetry.
