The Shirelles.
When "Will You Still Love Me Tommorrow" hit #1 on the pop charts in
1960, The Shirelles became the first female group to accomplish that
feat.
Was part of the female group "The Shirelles" which was comprised of
high school friends Beverly Lee, Shirley Owens and Micki "Addie" Harris
and were billed as the first major female vocal group of the rock era.
She and the Shirelles were inducted into the 2014 New Jersey Hall of Fame for Arts and Entertainment.
