-Like many artists, Aldo Guizmo got his start in soundsystems, notably with N'o Clan, a collective from his neighborhood. Thanks to them and their first album, in 2001 he had the opportunity to prove his vocal skills and promising potential.
In 2005, he set up G.N.One Studio, in partnership with Judgment Production, and released his first opus in 2006 with a number of emerging artists, under the title "G.N.One Shmulffance".
The following year, he met Kny Factory, who gave him the opportunity to experiment in new ways. The result was the reggae compilation "Improvisation Roots".
In 2010, he set up his own label, Speak The Truth Production, and recorded his first street album, followed by the official video for the track "Son La Ki Petant".
In 2012, in his quest for musical improvement and discovery, Aldo Guizmo decided to delve into a more acoustic style, introducing the ka, a drum native to the French West Indies. Anxious to preserve his roots, he then combines percussion with soundsystem ambience, a combination that makes his shows lively and interactive. The same year, he collaborated on stage performances with the group Madin'Free-K.
2013 was a pivotal year for Aldo Guizmo. He took part for the first time in the Syli d'Or, a competition organized in Montreal by Productions Nuits d'Afrique, and finished in the semi-finals. On the strength of this experience, he was invited to perform on the outdoor stage of the Festival International Nuits d'Afrique in July, where he had the opportunity to showcase the full extent of his talent to a wider audience. This year also sees the release of Aldo Guizmo's first commercial album "Métamorphose", a delicious blend of reggae dancehall, Ka and afrobeat rhythms. The album is the fruit of collaboration with musicians from the Guizmo Sound System.
