Dillon Yi
Dillon Juyoung Yi is an up-and-coming, military and nuclear-trained, actor with many talents that are mostly self-taught from a young age. He is presently working freelance and building his acting and modeling portfolio under his nonprofit company, Hate Heart, supporting other artists, creatives, dreamers, humanitarians, and the like.
Dillon was born in Riverdale, Georgia to Korean American parents, Sung Chul Yi (father) and Eun Shil Yi (mother - maiden name, Kang). However, he lost both his parents at a young age and adopted by his uncle and aunt, Sung Nam Yi (Sunny) and Jung Hee Yi respectively, at the request of his late grandfather, Kwang Myong Yi. He comes from a large household of six including, Sunny, Jung, Justin (Sunny and Jung's biological son), Stefanie (biological daughter), Dillon, and Leena (his direct little sister). He also has a half-sister, Crystal.
Vetted to attend the United States Military Academy at West Point by Sunny's direction, Dillon was instead admitted to the United States Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point where he graduated in 2014 with his Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering & Shipyard Management while also accepting his commission to be an Officer in the United States Navy Reserve and licensed Merchant Marine engineer.
Dillon was top of his class his early school days, having attended Ola Elementary, Middle, and High School in McDonough, GA of Henry Country; a small, rural, and quaint country town and excelled in wrestling, being a multi-year varsity letter winner, state qualifier, and state team member. He also enjoyed training with the cross-country team although he never ran in a sanctioned event.
As an athlete and competitor his whole life, Dillon trains extensively in martial and movement arts, weightlifting and functional training, and serves as an advocate for mental health, the lgbtqia, nuclear, sexual assault victim, and veteran communities. He is open to learning about and advocating for other underrepresented causes. He is equally passionate about his music and writing projects and is working steadfastly in building and leading a community, referred to as Hate Heart Nation X.
