JC Summerford writes, produces and directs documentaries, television series, feature films and streaming content. Her clients include networks, production companies, independent producers, and online outlets. She is Head Writer for the Fox/Bloomberg TV series "EARTH" and "AI Planet."
JC is shopping a new screenplay, Perpetuity, a sci-fi feature that explores how the last remaining humans on Earth survive centuries in the future, on a planet ravaged by climate change and artificial intelligence. She has two books on the verge of publication, if she ever stops re-writing them. One is the novel Cakebox, the story of a Boomer-age photographer who returns to her small southern hometown to claim an inheritance - but is compelled by events to stay and help an old friend fight a corrupt police department. Also coming out this year: JC's long-awaited book of essays, 60 Years of [R]age, which features essays, blogs, flash-fiction and columns about, well, damn near everything.
In 2023, JC released the documentary Rockie Lynne: Where I Belong about the singer/songwriter's career and heartwarming personal story. Watch for it soon on Amazon Prime and other outlets. A docu-series, DEMO with Rockie Lynne, is also in the works.
