Yoshio Julian Ruiz Hurtado

Having graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, Yoshio Ruiz specializes in textile design.
He belongs to the 99-2003/04 generation of Centro de Educación Artística, Alfonso Reyes.
His studies led to collaborations with contemporary dance and theater groups, in which he designed costumes and sets for their students.
His passion for textiles led him to open a textile design workshop in Monterrey, where he created unique pieces utilizing the techniques he had learned at Centro de Educación Artística.
In mid-2003, he took a sabbatical from the academy and became professionally involved with several international theater and film production companies and coordinating fashion editorials for several renowned photographers.
He has collaborated with several international productions such as Cirque du Soleil, and Showtime International in Brazil, and recently, in 2014 he was part of the creative team of Cirque du Soleil's first permanent show in Mexico: Joyâ, in Riviera Maya.
He worked as a Technical Supervisor and Lead Wardrobe Technician specializing in costumes and props at La Perle show, in the city of Dubai.
