Max Goldberg(XX)
Max Goldberg is co-owner of Strategic Hospitality alongside his brother Benjamin. Founded in 2006, the company has since created various concepts that have contributed to the fabric of the city's dining culture. Benjamin and Max, who were raised in Nashville, are deeply committed to supporting the local community and upholding the kindness for which the city is known. In August 2023, Chef Josh Habiger joined Benjamin and Max Goldberg as partner, further enriching the company's expertise in hospitality.
To date, the portfolio includes Merchants, The Patterson House, The Catbird Seat, The Band Box, The Country Club at The Band Box, Bastion, Henrietta Red, Locust, Kisser, Kitty Hawk Eat + Drink, Voodoo Doughnut and The Titans Press Box in the Nashville International Airport®, and Taqueria Zepeda in GEODIS Park. Strategic Hospitality proudly operates Friends In Low Places Bar & Honky-Tonk, owned by Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood, which opened in November 2023. The Goldberg brothers' nomination for the 2015, 2016, 2018, 2019, and 2020 James Beard Foundation Award for Outstanding Restaurateur attests to their entrepreneurial drive, innovative ideas, and focus on exceptional customer service within each of their establishments.
Max is active in the Nashville community by sitting on the boards for the Nashville Convention and Visitors Bureau, Oz Arts Nashville, and the Community Foundation. He is a member of the Young Presidents Organization, Entrepreneurs Organization, Urban Land Institute, a 2016 graduate from Leadership Nashville, and a member of the 2019 class of Henry Crown Fellows within the Aspen Global Leadership Network at the Aspen Institute. Max was recognized as one of Forbes 30 Under 30 in 2013, Nashville Business Journal 40 Under 40 2016, and Nashville Business Journal Power 100 in 2015-2018, 2020, and 2023.
