A new Broadway season has started, and there are currently seven productions of musicals set to open this fall. Could we be seeing any of them contend at next year’s Tony Awards? Below is an overview of the plot of each musical as well as the awards history of its author, cast, creative team, and the opening and (where applicable) closing dates.
“Almost Famous” (previews begin October 3; opens November 3)
In this stage musical adaptation of Cameron Crowe’s 2000 Academy Award-winning film, William Miller is an idealistic 15-year-old aspiring music journalist. When Rolling Stone magazine hires him to go on the road with an up-and-coming band, he is thrust into the rock-and-roll circus, where his love of music, his longing for friendship, and his integrity as a writer collide.
This musical has a book written by Crowe, who also co-wrote the score with Tony- and Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Tom Kitt.

An Oregon main is accused of decapitating his mother on Sunday and carrying her severed head and a knife with him into a rural grocery store where — covered in blood — he allegedly stabbed a clerk who then detained him with the aid of other store workers, People confirms.
The Clackamas County, Oregon, Sheriff’s Office identified the suspect as 36-year-old Joshua Lee Webb, of Colton, Oregon, and said the victim in the Mother’s Day slaying was his mother, 59-year-old Tina Webb.
“My wife was wonderful,” Tina’s husband, David Webb, told The Oregonian. “I’ve been married to her for almost 41 years.

If there was ever any doubt of Bb-8’s ability to make a good first impression, one need only cast an eye at Empire’s hot off the presses subscribers’ cover featuring the chirpy ball-droid. Championing the character’s cult hero credentials, the outlet also showcased new looks at John Boyega’s wayward Stormtropper, cast astray on the arid sand dunes of Jakku.
As a core member of the new heroic trifecta in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, we’ve learned a fair deal about Boyega’s character of Finn, but what of Bb-8? Fear not, folks, for StarWars.com has carried out an interview with Senior Animatronic Designer, Joshua Lee, who spilled the beans on the creative process that helped the ball-droid leap of the page.

While we still await the aftermath of Daisy de la Hoya's relationship with Daisy of Love winner Joshua Lee aka London, the star of the show couldn't help but share her feelings about the series. Apparently, Daisy De La Hoya believes in second chances. The infamous 'Daisy of Love' star picked London (aka Joshua Lee) over Flex during last night's season finale, ending a turbulent journey for the couple. Finally, another reality dating show from VH1 has ended. Daisy of Love was packed with crazy stunts and hormonal guys who like wearing makeup, and that's now over. While it's boo-hoo for the fans, Daisy de la Hoya is certainly happy. Choosing from among the final three guys - 12 Pack, London and Flex, she found the person she really had a connection with.
VH1 talked to Joshua Lee, aka London, the winner of Daisy of Love. The rockstar certainly became Daisy de la Hoya's own, as the couple continue their relationship with one another.
