After losing total eyesight in 2002, Joseph M. Monks set out to write a
new book, a few screenplays, AND direct a feature-length film. Joe
already had a following in the independent comic book arena - he was
co-creator of the cult hit Cry for Dawn and had also written and
published dozens of other comic books, including The Night Terrors
(featuring Bernie Wrightson and William S. Stout), NightCry, Tales of
the Dead, and several one-shots.
