Imani has a new look on Y&R. Pic credit CBS
What happened to Imani on The Young and the Restless? That’s a question being asked after a new actress has taken over the role of Amanda’s (Mishael Morgan) sister.
Leigh-Ann Rose originated the role of Imani in December 2019 when Amanda finally found her biological mother, Naya (Ptosha Storey).
The talented actress has been heating things up as Imani sets her sights on Nate (Sean Dominic), who’s dating Elena (Brytni Sarpy).
Since Imani has been making waves in Genoa City and the writers are clearly in the midst of a love triangle, it was a bit odd to see a new actress in the role.
There’s good news, though, for Imani fans.
Leigh-Ann isn’t gone for good.

Fox announced that lawyer, journalist and former “The View” co-host Star Jones has been appointed judge of the first-run syndicated series “Divorce Court,” starting in September.
As television’s longest running court show, “Divorce Court” dates back to the late 1950’s, when actors used to reenact actual divorce proceedings. Today, the program features real people and real cases — ranging from divorce court proceedings to other domestic disputes.
Judge Faith Jenkins will continue through the end of Season 23 and Jones will join for Season 24. Jones, a former assistant district attorney in New York and former legal correspondent on NBC’s “Today Show,” “Nightly News” and more, said that she will “offer the parties before ‘Divorce Court,’ as well as viewers, a no-nonsense approach to the law and a decision driven by my proven legal expertise, compassion and empathy, personal experiences and hard-earned common sense.”

There are 172 demons in the town of Willard’s Mill, and it’s up to retired sheriff Stan Miller (John C. McGinley) to stop them. There’s only one problem: Stan would rather take a nap. There is no rest for the recently retired, though, and Stan has even more undead mayhem to deal with in the new episodes of IFC’s Stan Against Evil. The second season of the horror comedy series premieres tonight on IFC, and this past summer, Daily Dead and a group of other journalists had the great pleasure of visiting the Atlanta set to see Stan’s demon-slaying arsenal and favorite recliner in person.
Nestled on a quiet neighborhood street just outside of Atlanta, the two-story home looks like a peaceful place, with its sprawling front porch and red and white colors giving it the appearance of a tranquil farmhouse. But while this home may...

Easily one of my favorite viewing experiences over the last year was watching John C. Although the series won't officially premiere until November 1st, IFC has released the third episode of the second season online early for all to enjoy, and you can watch it right here, right now (just be sure to hurry up, though, because Stan doesn't like to wait).

"Office Space... there's a comedy. They ought to call it Bobspace. It's all about the Bobs." If you watched the first season of Stan Against Evil (which I highly recommend), then you know that Stan (played by John C. McGinley) would rather just sit back in his chair and enjoy his retirement instead of getting blood sprayed on him all the time while slaying demons and saving the world. Well, in a new promo video released by IFC, McGinley gets to do just that, although what he ends up watching is himself as one of the Bobs in the cult classic comedy Office Space.

The film that I’ve been wanting to see, the film that just might be the greatest unintentional laugh riot of the decade, is finally coming to DVD.
I’m talking about N’Secure which Fox Home Video (Fox???) is releasing on June 14th; it stars Denise Boutte (the woman with the fantabulous weave with the porn star’s name), the guy who looks like a dead ringer for the guy from The Parkers sit-com, some ex-sitcom stars wondering how their careers came down to this level, and Nephew Tommy. And, by the way, would someone again please tell me who in the hell Nephew Tommy is?
The DVD will be available in both standard and blu-ray… though I think VHS would be more appropriate.
Let’s take a look again at the trailer for the film shall we?...

Director/writer: Kent Faulcon.
One of the biggest distributors of film is Mti Home Video and one of several titles that this company is releasing in 2010 is the action thriller Sister's Keeper. Sister's Keeper has been available since June 15th on DVD and this picture was written, directed and starred in by Kent Faulcon (War of the Worlds). Faulcon still manages to avoid the pitfalls of making this film an ego vehicle with the use of some evocative writing, a strong appearance by Eric Roberts ("Fear Itself"), and some intimate interactions between a family, which are natural and unforced.
Sister's Keeper follows an ex-soldier and part-time mercenary named Jacob Tate (Faulcon), who is hired to kill a young woman so that a younger brother can receive a multi-million dollar inheritance. Yet, Tate's conscience and libido intervene and soon this hired gun is fighting off a second equally experienced group of...

What’s it about?
Military-trained assassin, Jacob Tate (Kent Falcon), is sent by his handler (Eric Roberts) to a small Southern town with the unusual order to eliminate a beautiful English teacher, Diane Shaw (Denise Boutte). But when Diane mistakes him Jacob for her long-lost brother, he tries to use the guise to find himself drawn into her frank and colorful family. NEW YORK -- Where's Madea when you need her?
Certainly, the quartet of married couples at the center of Tyler Perry's new dramedy could use some of the tough love dosed out by the filmmaker's female alter ego. The characters in "Why Did I Get Married?" -- displaying a series of marital dysfunctions that would fill a dozen episodes of "Oprah" -- make for unpleasant company over the course of two long hours. The film opened Friday, naturally without being screened for the press.
Working in a similar if slightly more comedic mode to Perry's most recent effort, "Daddy's Little Girls," the film is set during a vacation retreat in wintry Colorado undertaken by four married couples. These annual sojourns are at the instigation of best-selling pop psychologist Patricia (Janet Jackson, making her first big-screen appearance in years), whose own marriage to architect Gavin (Malik Yoba) is strained because of the recent death of their young son in an automobile accident.
The other couples taking part are workaholic lawyer Dianne (Sharon Leal) and her neglected and resentful husband Terry (Perry); the hard-drinking, combative Angela (Tasha Smith) and her loving but cowed husband Marcus Michael Jai White), who's trying to keep secret his recently acquired STD; and the sweet but overweight Sheila (singer Jill Scott) and her verbally abusive husband Mike (Richard T. Jones).
Actually, Sheila is somewhat late to the party because she was forced to drive after being kicked off an airplane because of her excessive girth. Mike has gone ahead, accompanied by her sexy best friend Trina (Denise Boutte), with whom he's not so secretly carrying on an affair.
The combustible group soon lets the fireworks fly, with secrets bared and simmering tensions unleashed. By the end of the trip, the couples have mostly dealt with their differences and Sheila has found true love with an impossibly perfect, handsome policeman (Lamman Rucker).
As has been previously demonstrated in the hugely successful Perry's stage, television and big-screen works, subtlety and tonal consistency are not his strong suits. Here, the mostly broadly drawn characters (including a pair of flaming gay queens toting a poodle) and situations on display quickly prove grating, with the film veering awkwardly between broad comedy and melodrama.
The performers don't fare well under the circumstances, with most laboring under the weight of their characters' stereotypical attributes. Scott comes off the best, providing a real sweetness and vulnerability to the wounded Sheila, while Jackson, not really given much to do, barely manages to make an impression.
Of course, none of these flaws will matter much to Perry's devoted audiences, whose support has enabled him to virtually build a media empire. But again, it's hard not to wish that Madea had been around early in the proceedings to slap these annoying characters into submission.
