Valentine's Day is just around the corner, and our hearts are aflutter thinking about the most romantic couplings on our favorite shows.
More specifically, we're reminiscing about some of TV's greatest LGBTQ+ relationships. These couples don't just give us butterflies -- they also provide much-needed representation to a group that doesn't get to see themselves in characters very often.
These couples, fictional though they may be, are the definition of relationship goals.
As any TV fan knows, a good on-screen relationship needs several factors to work. The actors have to have chemistry, the characters have to have chemistry, and their relationship has to make sense in the context of the plot.
Sometimes, especially with LGBTQ+ pairings, it can feel like the writers just throw people together for the sake of a subplot, but those couples don't tend to resonate with audiences.
One example of this is Alex and Piper from Orange is the New Black.

This article contains some Good Grief spoilers.
For the entirety of Good Grief, I couldn’t look away from Dan Levy’s sweater: that excellent cable-knit style popularized in recent films like Knives Out, yet here in a lovely dove gray unlike the usual preppy cream. It was also radically different from the black-and-white jumpers he modeled as David Rose in the dramedy Schitt’s Creek, establishing that queer character’s distinctive fashion sense in a uniform that would recur even with his emotional development. Yet it feels like a costuming through-line to Levy’s next memorable character, widower Marcus, in his feature debut as a writer-director.
Here the sweater signifies the very human desperation to hold on to something of the past, even when it brings us pain. As Marc learns through his own figurative unraveling after a year of grief, a memento like that doesn’t have to be...

Schitt’s Creek actor Noah Reid will make his Broadway debut next spring in Steppenwolf Theatre Company’s The Minutes, the Tracy Letts play that was in previews when the Covid pandemic shutdown was announced in March 2020.
Reid will take the role of Mr. Peel, previously played by Armie Hammer, who withdrew from the production amidst sexual misconduct allegations.
The Minutes will resume performances at Studio 54 on March 19, 2022, with an official opening set for Thursday, April 7. Tickets are on sale today.
Reid will join the rest of the cast that was in place at the time of the shutdown: Letts, Ian Barford, Blair Brown, Cliff Chamberlain, K. Todd Freeman, Danny McCarthy, Jessie Mueller, Sally Murphy, Austin Pendleton and Jeff Still.
Best known for playing Patrick Brewer in TV’s Schitt’s Creek, Reid most recently starred in the independent feature film Buffaloed opposite Zoey Deutch and Judy Greer. He will next star...

Dan Levy and Noah Reid may not be an Irl item (much to the disappointment of David and Patrick shippers), but the Schitt's Creek costars are good pals. After Noah joined the cast as David Rose's business partner, Patrick Brewer, in season three, fans quickly fell in love with the onscreen couple, and Tbh, it's hard not to love them. Of course, what makes David and Patrick's love story so special isn't just great acting - it's the result of Dan and Reid's offscreen friendship. The two actors have said the sweetest things about each other over the years, and their best quotes will make you mourn the end of Schitt's Creek all over again.

Well, we all knew this moment was on the horizon: Schitt's Creek is coming to an end. But on the bright side, it's not over just yet! In December, Pop TV shared the full trailer for the upcoming season, and it's super emotional. In addition to giving us glimpses of what's to come, the video also includes some heartwarming moments between the Rose family.

We enjoy the annual hiatus from Schitt's Creek about as much as David Rose enjoys polyester, but here we are, with several months to go before new episodes of the hilarious Canadian sitcom return to our screens. While we wait for the sixth season, we've got a handful of details that the cast and crew have already released. Here's what we know so far about what to expect from the next season.
When Will Season 6 Premiere?
Similarly to the past five seasons dating back to its debut in 2015, season six will kick off early into the new year! As TVLine revealed, the the 14-episode season will premiere on Tuesday, Jan. 7.
It's also worth noting that the schedule might be slightly different for viewers in the Us and those in Canada. CBC airs the episodes in Canada, and typically, Pop airs them in the Us with a slight lag time - usually just a few days.
