Series regular Alexa Davalos will not be returning for Season 5 of CBS’ “FBI: Most Wanted,” Variety has confirmed.
Hailing from Dick Wolf, “FBI: Most Wanted” focuses on the Fugitive Task Force, an elite unit that relentlessly pursues and captures the notorious criminals on the Bureau’s Most Wanted list. David Hudgins and Todd Arnow executive produce.
Davalos joined the series at the beginning of Season 3, playing the role of Kristin Gaines, a member of the FBI’s Fugitive Task Force and a former Naval Intelligence Officer. In the “FBI: Most Wanted” Season 4 premiere, which airs Tuesday, Sept. 20 at 10 p.m., Dylan McDermott’s character Remy Scott goes undercover as a motorcyclist in a case that begins with the murder of an entire family in Georgia.
McDermott told TheWrap that it was his idea for Scott to go undercover, but he didn’t know he’d be playing a badass biker. “That just kind of came down the pipeline, no pun intended,” he says of the episode, which is titled “Iron Pipeline.” “Luckily, I ride motorbikes and motorcycles. So it was perfect.”
And those arm tattoos? Totally real. “They also played pretty well going undercover as a biker because they didn’t rub off,” McDermott said, adding he got his first tat in his 40s.

Film premiere and headlines spilling from a trio of fests in full swing (Venice), just starting (Telluride) and queued up (Toronto) have indie exhibitors and distributors the most hopeful since Covid hit that a stream of new films could fire up the arthouse market.
Tod Fields’ Cate Blanchett-starrer Tár (debuted to a six-minute standing ovation in Venice), Timothée Chalamet in Luca Guadagnino’s Bones And All (also just screened on the Lido), and Empire of Light with Olivia Colman, set to world premiere at Telluride, and a raft of others are slated for fall theatrical release. A deluge of specialty films from Sundance and Cannes will also move into U.S. cinemas later this month.
“Arthouse theaters are behind where they were in 2019, but I think this fall things will come racing back. These festivals have the goods,” said John Vanco, Gm of New York’s IFC Center.

As a self-described mother bear, Marcia Gay Harden says she can easily identify with her tough-but-nurturing character in Gigi & Nate, a poignant movie about a boy and his unlikely service animal who helps everyone move past their family tragedy.
Just weeks before he was heading to college, Nate Gibson (Charlie Rowe) suffers a near-fatal illness and is left with quadriplegia. Moving forward seems impossible – especially because he is in pain and laced with doubt and depression – until he meets Gigi (Allie), a curious and intelligent capuchin money – who helps Nate find what he needs the most: hope.
At face value, Gigi & Nate is about a disabled boy and his monkey overcoming hardship and succeeding together, but it is clearly about so much more!

“Gigi & Nate” begins with two leaps. The first is out of terror, when Gigi, a capuchin monkey at a sad-sack roadside petting zoo, tries to steer clear of her “caretaker.” The second is the sweet leap of boy-joy that 17-year-old Nate Gibson takes off a rocky ledge and into a pond. In this amiable, if unnecessarily manipulative, movie about the human-animal bond — as well as the different forms resilience can take — that fateful second leap will lead the young man and the monkey to each other.
Gigi is rescued by a woman who works for an organization that provides service animals to people with disabilities. Nate (played by British rising star Charlie Rowe) is initially not so fortunate. Shortly after that dive, as he and his family ready for a Fourth of July celebration at their vacation cabin, he begins to feel increasingly lousy. Roadside Attractions has acquired U.S. distribution rights to Free Turn’s “Gigi & Nate.” The film stars Charlie Rowe, Oscar-winner Marcia Gay Harden, and Jim Belushi, and is based on true events. Exclusive: Miguel Gomez will not be returning to FBI: Most Wanted when the crime drama series is back for a fourth season next fall. Gomez, who joined the FBI spinoff as a series regular midway through Season 2, playing Special Agent Ivan Ortiz, is leaving the series. His departure is believed to be a creative decision.
The recent Season 3 finale provided a suitable ending to the arc of Ortiz, a former LAPD Gang Unit officer born and raised in Los Angeles who, after a stint with the FBI’s counter-terror unit in Washington, DC, joined the team that tracks down the country’s most wanted fugitives. In the finale, which aired last week, Ortiz returned to Los Angeles to take care of his ailing father.
FBI: Most Wanted underwent a major casting change this season when original lead Julian McMahon exited and was succeeded by Dylan McDermott playing a new character.

Dylan McDermott is making the jump from Law & Order Organized Crime to FBI: Most Wanted, and while both shows are from legendary producer Dick Wolf, the characters could not be more different.
It was recently revealed that McDermott would be playing new team leader Remy Scott on Most Wanted after the departure of Julian McMahan.
However, McDermott has been playing the villainous Richard Wheatley for two seasons on Law & Order: Organized Crime, and let's just say fans have many thoughts about the character.

After a memorable turn as vicious mobster Richard Wheatley on “Law & Order: Organized Crime,” Dylan McDermott is enjoying playing someone on the right side of the law in “FBI: Most Wanted.” His character, Remy Scott, takes over as team leader in the April 12 episode of the CBS series, which is also from prolific producer Dick Wolf.
“I’ve played some questionable people along the way. It’s time to play someone good again and Remy Scott is that character,” McDermott said during a virtual panel on Wednesday. He’s aware that after playing the villainous “Oc” character — who killed Elliot Stabler’s (Christopher Meloni’s) wife and tried to have his own wife killed — audiences might have a hard time accepting him as a good guy.

During a conversation with press on Wednesday, the actor opened up about making the move from “Law & Order: Organized Crime” to “FBI: Most Wanted.” While he played the villain in the NBC series, he’s taking on the role of Special Agent Remy Scott in the CBS drama.

He’s a bad guy,'” McDermott said. “I relish in it because I think it’s amazing that people actually believe that’s the character, that I’m him. They haven’t even seen the episodes by the way! So I just love that because now they’re gonna see me in a completely different light.

Soon as it was announced that Dylan McDermott would succeed Julian McMahon as FBI: Most Wanted‘s team leader, those familiar with the Dick Wolf Extended Universe wondered how Law & Order: Organized Crime‘s inaugural villain could navigate such a heel-to-hero transition.
On Law & Order: Oc, McDermott played the cunning Richard M. Wheatley, who was in and out of prison for organized crime activity and as a suspect in the murder of no less than lawman Elliot Stabler’s wife, Kathy.

ABC’s The Bachelor and CBS’ FBI were the standouts for Tuesday primetime, which also featured season finales and a series premiere for NBC.
The Bachelor with its dramatic Fantasy Suites episode was the highest-rated program of Tuesday evening, earning a 0.7 in the 18-49 demo rating and 3.37 million viewers, per fast affiliates. The Bachelor returns next week for yet another two-night event, leading up to the Season 26 finale.
FBI was the night’s most-watched program. After opting for a repeat amid State of the Union coverage last week, FBI was steady with the preceding non-repeat broadcast two weeks ago.
Excluding The Bachelor, FBI was the highest-rated program of the 8 p.m. hour, besting The Resident, Superman & Lois and the finales of NBC freshmen American Auto and Grand Crew. American Auto, the latest workplace comedy from The Office writer-producer Justin Spitzer, was down from two...
