- In every one of the films that he has written and/or directed there is a scene in which one or more of the film's main characters confess to something which has to do with the film's primary conflict. Examples of this can be found in 'Billedet' (2003), 'Sange Fra Baggrunden (2006), 'Kirken' (2011) and 'Drengen Der Ikke Kunne Svømme' (2010). The only exception to this is 'Nexus' (2010).
- Directed his first film at age 14 - a short thriller about a serial killer killing pupils at an elementary school. The film was made with his 8th grade class mates and shot at Munkegårdsskolen in Gentofte, Denmark, the school that Anders attended in his junior years.
- Favorite director is Stanley Kubrick.
- Established production company Superior Films with friend Henrik Busacker in early 2004. Later that year Henrik Busacker voluntarily gave up his part of the company leaving Anders Helde the sole owner of the company.
