Ian Russo is a Gibraltarian composer. He is passionate about his hobby and about his job as a primary school teacher.
He began composing while studying music at Bayside Comprehensive School (Gibraltar). Shortly after, he started scoring his first projects for friends and family. His musical inspirations come from numerous sources ranging from: Jean-Michel Jarre; Vangelis; Hybrid, and Michael McCann to Hans Zimmer and Klaus Badelt.
Recently, Ian has worked with local artist Alan Perez in composing a musical piece for an art installation. He has also worked with Nathan Conroy from Art In Movement (A.I.M.) in composing bespoke pieces of music for a variety of dance performances. Ian has also worked with other local artists and choreographers in producing and composing a number of tracks for their own projects. He has also produced several jingles and music tracks for two UK-based podcasts.
In his latest project, Ian remixed a track by local group 'The Views'.
Most recently, he has started to sell his photographs online.
