Dramatists Guild of America member Larry Jay Tish is a playwright, actor, producer, director, screen, TV, and travel writer. He produced the feature film "Bad Cupid" starring John Rhys-Davies (Indiana Jones, Lord of the Rings). Larry created, co-wrote, produced, and toured for 12 years the multiple award-winning social justice comedy "The Black-Jew Dialogues". The BJD continues to tour in its 17th year with over 700 performances to its credit.
Larry's recent solo show "Trouble on Six", about his redemption from the family disease of addiction, which he wrote, produced, and starred in, premiered in August of 2022 at the Edinburgh Fringe to much critical and audience acclaim. Larry also wrote and produced "The Last Jews - An Apocalyptic Comedy". It earned a Boston Playwright's Theatre Fellowship and was nominated as the Best New Play in Boston by the Independent Reviewers of New England (IRNE). Larry co-wrote and produced the libretto for "Jews on First", a musical adaptation of the award-winning book, "American Jews and America's Game."
For nine NFL seasons, Larry wrote and starred in "How'd They Do That?", a segment of the New England Patriots' weekly television program, "Totally Patriots". Larry was a freelance copywriter for ten years in Philadelphia, Los Angeles, New York, and Boston and wrote humorous travel descriptions for Vacationcoach. com. He has several movie and TV scripts in development.
