True crime is getting more and more entertaining by the day and I don’t if that’s a good thing or a bad one. We have another brilliant true crime drama series, Under the Bridge, created by Quinn Shephard. Based on a 2005 book of the same name by Rebecca Godfrey, the Hulu series is set in 1997 and it follows the murder case of a 14-year-old girl which we see through the eyes of local police officer Cam Bentland and the author Godfrey. Under the Bridge stars Lily Gladstone and Riley Keough in the lead roles with Virtika Gupta, Chloe Guidry, Javon “Wanna” Walton, and Izzy G starring in supporting roles. So, if you love the thrilling and dreadful story of Under the Bridge, here are some other shows that have similar tone and story elements that you should check out next.

The lineup for the 77th Cannes Film Festival has officially been unveiled. As of right now, 19 films will be competing for the prestigious top prize, the Palme d’Or. The festival will be running from May 14 through the closing ceremony on May 25 in the small town on the French Riviera. This year’s jury will be led by Greta Gerwig, fresh off of her success writing and directing “Barbie,” which earned her an Oscar nomination for Best Adapted Screenplay. The remaining members of the jury have yet to be announced.
Having an idea of a filmmaker’s history at the festival can sometimes help give us an insight as to who could be in the best position to take home the Palme. For example, two of this year’s entries come from filmmakers who have previously claimed the Palme. Another five are from directors who have won prizes in official...

An investigative journalist falls for her subject: A handsome, world-renowned surgeon.
That logline could be the start of a rom-com. Instead, it’s the beginning of a sinister story, one that’s told on Dr. Death.
The second season of the Peacock anthology based on the Wondery podcast brings to screen the true-crime story of Paolo Macchiarini (played by Édgar Ramírez), the pioneering Italian surgeon whose revolutionary biosynthetic tracheas could be a medical solution to the traditional trachea transplant. His work is so impressive, he becomes the subject of a TV profile from New York journalist, and former NBC producer, Benita Alexander (Mandy Moore), who — spoiler alert — ends up contributing to a much more important Vanity Fair article that ultimately unmasks the real Paolo Macchiarini.
But in the time between their first encounter in 2013 and that 2016 article, the pair fall in love. A whirlwind romance of sorts ensues, where Alexander...

Though it was at one point reported that the most recent draft of Lionsgate’s “Borderlands” movie had been co-written by Craig Mazin, that involvement doesn’t seem to be true.
Questions about the “Chernobyl” and “The Last of Us” writer’s attachment began to rise on Sunday, when World of Reel reported that “Borderlands” was in “post-production hell” and that Mazin had removed his name from the project, opting instead to use the pseudonym “Joe Crombie.” While the Writers Guild of America’s website does list Joe Crombie as a co-writer alongside director Eli Roth, Mazin is now publicly denying that the pen name is his.
“I am not a credited writer on the film, so I cannot claim any kind of authorship of ‘Borderlands,’ much less ‘co-writing,'” he said in a statement to Variety. “I did see the report about the pseudonym, which is false. I did not use a pseudonym.
