New Delhi, July 1 (Ians) Reigning Men’s 10m Air Rifle World Champion Rudrankksh Patil returned to the squad as the National Rifle Association of India (Nrai), the governing body of the Olympic sport of Shooting in India, announced the Indian rifle and pistol squads for the upcoming international competitions.
The same squad witth minor chances will participate in the upcoming World Championships in August in Baku, Azerbaijan and the Hangzhou Asian Games in China the month after. The Shotgun squad had been announced earlier.
A 22-member Rifle and Pistol squad will travel to Baku to vie for as many as 32 Paris Olympic quota places up for grabs there while a 21-member squad will make the trip to Hangzhou the Nrai announced in a release on Saturday.
Rudrankksh Patil has been included in the Asian Games squad basis the selection criteria for Paris quota winners.

New Delhi, May 14 (Ians) Manini Kaushik, reached her first career final in a senior World Cup stage, finishing sixth in the women’s 50m rifle 3-positions (3P) event as India ended their engagements at the International Shooting Sport Federation (Issf) World Cup Rifle/Pistol in Baku, Azerbaijan.
Manini shot 415.6 in the final, which was won by Briton Seonaid McIntosh who finished with 467.0.
China’s double Olympic medallist Li Yuehong won the other final of the concluding day, the men’s 25m rapid-fire pistol (Rfp), helping his country top the medal tally with four gold, one silver and two bronze medals, even as India finished second with one gold, two silver and one bronze in their kitty, the National Rifle Association of India (Nrai) informed in a release on Sunday.
Manini, for her first final at this level, shot well and was placed fifth after the first 15 shots in the kneeling and prone positions.
