Seasoned agent and commercial exec Ian Moffitt has joined Img’s studios business in London after exiting BBC Studios.
Moffitt, a former senior agent at ICM Partners and Head of Original Programming at Yahoo, left the BBC’s production and sales wing a few months back, leaving a role as Commercial Director.
He now takes on a newly-created role as Senior VP of Business Development at Endeavor-owned Img, working closely with VP and Business Development Director, Jo Ormston and reporting to Executive VP, Studios, Barney Francis. He’ll be based at Img’s Stockley Park, London office.

Sports production powerhouse Img has recruited Sky Sports alum Barney Francis to spearhead the company’s development of new content and event franchises.
Francis will serve as executive vice president of global production, based in London.

Img has hired former Sky Sports MD Barney Francis to “lead its production business into a new era.”
Francis is viewed as one of the major players who established Sky Sports as the global force it is today. During a 20-year spell with Sky, which included more than a decade as Sky Sports MD, he oversaw a doubling of its channel offering to 11, adding premium sports such as Formula 1, golf’s Masters and the NBA.
Starting next month as executive vice president, head of global production, and working closely with Img chairman Graham Fry, who is to retire next year, Francis will “lead Img’s production business into a new era,” according to the company.
The Endeavor-owned firm produces around 20,000 hours of sports programming for more than 200 federations, associations and events.
