Whether you believe in true love or not, there's one thing we can all agree on: these wedding dresses are ah-may-zing.
Celebs pulled out all the stops this year to make sure that they not only had the perfect day but also the perfect gown, calling in big names like Victoria Beckham, Jenny Packham, and Vera Wang to make them stunning numbers for their nuptials.
Though all of the looks were gorgeous in their own right, there was two clear themes to 2016's gowns: boho chic and luxe glam. In fact, quite a few ladies even combined the two, which meant miles of jaw-dropping lace and plenty of intricate beading and florals that beg for a closer look.

Starting out making music in a garage in a San Diego suburb back in the early ’90s, blink-182 went on to become total game-changers, with members Mark Hoppus, Tom DeLonge, and Travis Barker gaining global recognition and selling tens of millions of records along the way.
They changed the pop-punk music scene for good, and they did it in style, with a whole lot of immaturity along the way.
Forced to pull out of headlining summer festivals three years ago to finish up work on their most recent album, 2011’s Neighborhoods, the trio are back this year to play Reading and Leeds, following two warm-up shows in Brixton earlier in the month (which were awesome). Jimmy Eat World are a unifying band. They have fans from all sorts of musical persuasions. They enjoy patronage from Indie kids, skin-headed hardcore elitists, Skate-punkers, arty Post-Hardcore types, Metal-heads and mums and dads.

They’ve sold a couple of million records, played pretty high up on major festival bills, toured the world, regularly sell out their own headlining shows and graced magazine covers.

So, London.
It’s a hell of a town, and I’ve been visiting for a couple of days – eating fine, multi-cultured cuisine, exploring the sights, hearing the sounds, walking through the past alongside evolution in the Natural History Museum, roaming an ice cold Hyde Park to mainly watch the ducks versus swans and what-have-yous on the Serpentine (you know, giving them names and personalities and back stories), seeing what’s-his-face from off of being singer for Hard-Fi in Chancery Lane tube station and of course visiting the Tower of London, not to tickle the jewels and work the sceptre but mostly to be embarrassed by the absurdity of them all. The real stars of the Tower of London are the ravens.
Oh, and the jewelled guns in the White Tower. Amazing. That’s just rock ’n’ roll, that is.
Anyhow, tourism, and pretending I’ve more money than skirting...

Pop-punk is like an itch. Scratch it, and you’ll find relief, only for the itch to resurface again after a while. Ignore it, you’ll forget about it and won’t give it a second thought. The popularity of pop-punk can’t be questioned, but what can be questioned about the genre is whether it’s viable that it’s as popular as it is. Yeah, okay, sing-along-choruses and catchy hooks are always a winner, but doesn’t it feel like a genre that’s been replicated far too often? That it’s got a limited sound? Fair enough, it’s understandable that some people may enjoy the never-grow-old feel pop punk captures but once you do actually grow up and grow away from that style of music it feels it’s a genre stuck in its ways,...

Let Me In have been nice enough to ask us to let them in, so we have.
And a nice enough visit it was. With The Bag we have Italian pop punkers’ debut album, having previously self-released and self-produced EPs (The Daydream Ep in 2006 and Liesbook in2009). The album following in the footsteps of the EPs is another done-it-themselves release, entirely off their own backs; no record deal, no distribution, no booking. Which is commendable, and possibly the way forward in certain respects these days, though of course the big record labels will always have a certain all conquering quality, no matter how clueless they may be these days.
The album itself is available entirely from http://letmeinthebag.tumblr.com/ which shows that these Italians are just happy enough to be getting their music out there and playing it, which is an admirable quality in itself and shows some passion on their part.

Standing in a queue on your own, you start to remember how much you hate the public.
That aside, I’m inside and While She Sleeps have already started their set. The organizers clearly not keen on letting the fans in before starting the gig. I’m surprisingly sober, but I’d alleviate that (expensively) soon enough.
Speaking of the first on, While She Sleeps, are a group that appear to be steadily building some momentum on the metal and hardcore scene in Britain, hailing from Sheffield and purveying a very modern blend of hardcore and metal that is intrinsically melodic as it is impressively heavy. Though first on this young band already have this audience in the palm of their hands, with many a hand held aloft and chant reciprocated; Crows being a particularly noticeable set highlight for the band and the crowd. Guitar lines melodic and breakdowns punishing,...

I’m going to start this review with an apology, because it is impossible to write about a female-fronted pop-punk band without mentioning Paramore. This is usually an unfair comparison, hence the apology, and Sydney based pop-punkers Tonight Alive aren’t just an Australian Paramore. What Are You So Scared Of? sees them trying to break the UK and America, having already sold upwards of 20,000 copies of the album in their home country. With production duties being handled by Mark Trombino (producer of legendary pop-punk albums such as Blink 182’s Dude Ranch and Jimmy Eat World’s Bleed American) and 45 minutes of solid tracks, hopefully some of their success down under will be repeated over here.
Opening with the instrumental and atmospheric Eject, Eject, Eject! gives second track Breaking & Entering some extra impact, as well as giving the guitarists a chance to remind listeners that this band isn’t...

Los Angeles – Any music fan who has visited Los Angeles over the holidays must be familiar with the ambiguously-titled “Almost Acoustic Christmas,” the annual two-night concert hosted by alternative rock station Kroq. Now in its 22nd installment, Almost Acoustic Christmas has become synonymous with the biggest bands gathering at the Gibson Amphitheater to celebrate the holidays in a very un-acoustic manner. Night one’s lineup this year, however, was particularly special – it featured seven (out of eight) artists who have previously played the festival, namely headliners Blink 182, 311, Sublime with Rome, Social Distortion, Bush, New Found Glory and Chevelle.
Night one started off with a little bit of nostalgia, as New Found Glory took a moment to reminisce about the last time they performed with Blink on the 2001 "Take of Your Pants and Jacket Tour." By music industry standards, ten years is ancient history.

New Found Glory. The name, for the twenty-somethings, will bring back happy, hazy memories of drunken teenage nights, unashamedly singing the band’s popular songs ‘My Friend’s Over You’ or ‘Head On Collision’ at the top of their voices. For the more musically knowledged and experienced thirty-somethings, the band represent a change in pop-punk. They are a band who made, and still continue to make, a deep groove in the pop-punk genre; a band who, while citing their influences and making them all too clear at times, made a sound their own and opened doors for future bands. An example of a band who have cited New Found Glory as an influence, and who have ‘made it’ is the hardcore band ‘A Day To Remember’. Let’s not forget the teenagers of today, either. Especially the ones who’re just starting to develop an ear for music. New Found Glory...

New Found Glory’s 1999 debut, Nothing Gold Can Stay, snuck beneath the radar to become a massive influence on the new millennium’s eruption of emo-soaked pop-punk. Since then, the Florida outfit has miraculously retained the same five members, the same steady pace of releases, and the same bouncy/bittersweet dynamic. It’s also stuck religiously to its chunky, melodic sound, and the new Radiosurgery is no different. That said, the group’s sixth full-length is the first since frontman Jordan Pundik and crew entered their 30s, and it’s starting to show. While steeped in New Found Glory ...

New Found Glory and Sum 41 will embark on a co-headline tour of the UK in 2012. The bands are to play the upcoming Kerrang! tour, which will last ten dates across the country next February. The groups will start the shows at Dublin's Academy on February 5 and finish up at Camden's Roundhouse in London on February 17. Speaking about the tour, Kerrang! editor James McMahon explained: "Everyone at Kerrang! prides themselves on the fact that our tours are always a heap load of fun, but this year's tour really does offer something for all rock fans - you've got punk, you've got pop punk, you've got hardcore, you've got metal. "It's a reflection of the broad church you'll find in the magazine's pages (more)...

We here at MTV Movies Blog love a surprise. And we were plenty surprised to find out last night at the MTV Sneak Peek Week premiere of "Fright Night" that co-star Christopher Mintz-Plasse has a major musician for a mother.
MTV News caught up with Mintz-Plasse and director Craig Gillespie last night in Los Angeles as part of MTV Sneak Peak Week, and the two spoke a bit about the surprise casting of "Stay" singer Lisa Loeb as "Evil" Ed Thompson's momma.
"My casting agent suggested her," said Gillespie. "I just thought it was a great idea, and they just seemed to work well together."
We'll know for sure just how well they worked together when "Fright Night" hits theaters this August, but for now, Mintz-Plasse himself seems excited enough to have the Maryland-born and Texas-raised artist playing his mom. He first revealed the casting in...

Indio, California — One week after indie hipsters and pop enthusiasts stood on the same desert ground for the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, an estimated 55,000 metal fans watched "The Big 4" of thrash share a U.S. stage together for the first time.
"This is history tonight and you're part of it," Metallica frontman James Hetfield told the crowd Saturday at the Empire Polo Fields in Indio, California. "Anthrax, Megadeth, Slayer and Metallica as one — with you!"
As members of all four bands gathered together toward the end of Metallica's set to perform the Diamond Head classic "Am I Evil?," fans roared. The group of friends, sometime rivals and ex-bandmates embraced one another affectionately and shared wide smiles.

New Jersey fest takes place April 29 through May 1.

Ever since it emerged as a punky alternative to Coachella back in 2005, New Jersey's Bamboozle Festival has prided itself on its outsider status ... especially when it comes to booking bands.
While in its early years it featured the likes of My Chemical Romance, Fall Out Boy and Motion City Soundtrack on the big stage, in recent years, the 'Boozle has expanded its scope to include everyone from 50 Cent to "Weird" Al Yankovic (not to mention the likes of Snoop Dogg and Bret Michaels) and, at last year's fest, Wiz Khalifa and Drake.
So, when it came time to announce the lineup for the 2011 Bamboozle — set for April 29 through May 1 at the New Meadowlands Sports Complex in East Rutherford, New Jersey — fans were no doubt expecting an eclectic, head-scratch-inducing selection of artists. And...

Here's hoping that Hayley Williams didn't get everything she wanted for Christmas, as she still has today's birthday haul to consider. The Paramore singer is now 22 years old, and like many internationally-renowned pop stars her age, she has crammed quite a bit of life into those two decades and change.
Born and raised in Mississippi, Williams moved to her adopted hometown of Franklin, Tennessee when she was 13 years old. It was there the seeds of Paramore began, as she met recently departed bandmates Zac and Josh Farro at school. Though she initially attracted attention as a songwriter and a solo artist at age 14, she wanted to stick with a band. Thus, Paramore was born and signed to Fueled By Ramen. The buzz began slowly for Paramore, though their debut album All We Know is Falling did pick up some attention because of its carefully-crafted but still-edgy pop tunes and its sassy frontwoman.

Slowly but sure, Wiz Khalifa places himself among sought-after rappers in the music game. Gaining attention from Hip-Hop community since his first mixtape five years ago, he gradually built strong fans base. In just a year, he was declared Rolling Stone's "Artist to Watch", and then moved to win the title of MTV's Hottest Breakthrough Mc of 2010.
Now in the middle of preparing his next studio installment, Khalifa scored big with his lead single "Black and Yellow". The Stargate-produced song climbed to No. 5 and 10 on Billboard Hot Rap and R&B/Hip-Hop Songs charts respectively. Also, the Gold-certified track rose to No. 11 on Hot 100, marking his highest-charting single.

Justin Bieber is the King of YouTube. Let's hope his reign is a benevolent one.
The teenage pop star's song "Baby" was named the most-watched music video from a major record labor on YouTube for 2010 with 408 million views at press time. It's not really a surprise since Biebs usurped Lady Gaga's throne for the most-watched video of all time in July.
Not content with mere dominance, the Biebmeister also shows up three more times on the list.
Take a look at the full Top 10 music videos (major label):
