Spoiler Alert: Do not read if you have not yet watched “Betsy,” episode seven of the second season of “The Bold Type,” which aired Tuesday, July 17.
As Kat (Aisha Dee) advises in the latest episode of “The Bold Type”: “I think when you don’t know much about something, you should explore it.” And that was exactly why showrunner Amanda Lasher wanted to talk about gun ownership and gun control in the seventh episode of the second season of the Freeform drama.
“It’s not easy to tell a story about guns, especially right now,” she admits to Variety.
In the episode entitled “Betsy,” Sutton (Meghann Fahy) reveals that she has been keeping a shotgun in the apartment she shares with Jane (Katie Stevens). It comes as a surprise to Jane — and probably much of the audience — and the newly reinstated Scarlet Magazine writer pitches a story called “I...

10. “What Would Diplo Do”
Season 1, Episode 2, “The Cult”
Directed by Brandon Dermer
Written by James Van Der Beek
“What would Diplo do?” is a question addressed throughout the first few episodes of Viceland’s new comedy, but what Diplo actually does gets tackled head on in Episode 2. Functioning as a response to Diplo’s most human moment in the pilot (asking nemesis Calvin Harris if all they do as DJs is push a button), the episode examines the creation of one song — just one — over the course of, well, quite a long time.
When a reporter stops by to write a story on how Diplo (James Van Der Beek) creates a song, he becomes witness to a maniacal process involving rats, post-its, a blender, and, yes, a cult. The running joke is that Diplo goes to crazy extremes just to get back to where he started, but there’s a...

Things are already starting to get back to "normal" on "Haven" Season 4. Duke and Nathan are back in Maine. Troubled people need help. Vince and Dave are being evasive and mysterious. Even Audrey is back -- sort of.
So what is coming next? We got a few "Haven" spoilers from the show's executive producers Gabrielle Stanton and Matt McGuinness.
And yes, they did confirm that the audience will see Duke shirtless and Nathan naked. You're welcome.
Stanton and McGuinness have far more interesting things to say about "Haven" than the humble writer of this article, so they will take it away from this point onward.
The future of Colin Ferguson's character of William
Matt McGuinness: We can tell you that Colin Ferguson comes back in the second half of the season.
Gabrielle Stanton: That actually has been really exciting, kind of mixing it up with Colin this season.

Review Rachael Kates 15 Sep 2013 - 11:15
Rachael returns to Haven for the eventful season 4 premiere. Here's her excited review of Fallout...
This review contains spoilers.
4.1 Fallout
Welcome back to Haven - where the news is made up and the law of physics don’t matter. We do and don’t come back exactly where we left off - with Duke in the barn, right up until he gets spit out like a cherry pit into the Boston aquarium six months later. Whoops - from magical farm structures to near drownings that land him in the hospital. Oh Duke, I love your face, and your mouthiness, and everything except your hair. It’s almost as bad as Sam Winchester’s. Cut it for all our sakes.
I also adore the pixieish woman Jennifer Mason who appears at his bedside. She has a Trouble that gave her the ability to listen in...

The "Haven" Season 4 premiere, "Fallout," is about to air and who better to preview the episode and the season than the show's executive producers and showrunners, Gabrielle Stanton and Matt McGuinness?
Warning: There are minor "Haven" spoilers ahead -- proceed with caution.
Fortunately or unfortunately, those in charge of "Haven" could not be persuaded to spill all that they knew on the upcoming season. "We could tell you everything, but then we'd have to find where you are and kill you," Matt McGuinness explained.
So what could the two showrunners share about what is coming to the weirdest little town in Maine?
"We are going to learn more than we ever have about Audrey Parker, her place in Haven and Haven's place in the overall world," Gabrielle Stanton said when asked to describe Season 4 as a whole. "I think it's been exciting to us as writers this season to...

Haven Season 4 is coming to wrap itself around us in all its creepy mysterious gorgeous Nova Scotia-posing-as-New England goodness, and I am So Ready. They’ve even made it easy to remember the premiere date: Friday the 13th of next month.
I’m thrilled that Colin Ferguson (Eureka) is joining as a recurring guest star, and now we have news of two others. I hope they all fare better than last year’s recurring guest star. You know, the psychologist? Yowie.
With so many shows, new characters can be disruptive, but the casting in this series has always been impeccable, and seamless with the writing and the collective excellence of the show. And no matter how hard they try, and sometimes they do try, guest stars seem to never be able to permanently break up my favorite love/buddy triangle of Audrey, Nathan, and Duke.
But wait til you see who Christian Camargo (Dexter) plays…...

Excellent, some Haven news! Production has begun for Season 4 of this absolutely terrific show, up in gorgeous Halifax. Everyone I’ve talked with who’s involved in the show’s production talks about the big part the location plays in the series, and I agree. We also have news that the star of another Syfy show that featured an “interesting” town will be joining the Haven community:
Yes Colin Ferguson, Eureka‘s Sheriff Jack Carter, will be showing up in our favorite creepy town. Here are the details, along with a head’s up about where we’ll be when the show returns:

Press Release: Startling new mysteries and secrets are in the works as Syfy’s hit series Haven goes into production today, May 8, on an all-new 13 episode Season 4 in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
When Haven premieres this October, Colin Ferguson (Eureka) returns to Syfy playing William, a handsome mysterious stranger, whose secret agenda leads him to Audrey (Emily Rose).
Season 4 of Haven picks up six months after the devastating events of the Season 3 cliffhanger in which the town was pummeled by a violent meteor storm. Audrey and Duke (Eric Balfour) vanished into thin air leaving an injured Nathan (Lucas Bryant) marooned in Haven.
During its third season, Haven averaged 2.3 million total viewers, 1.1 million Adults 25-54 and 901,000 Adults 18-49. It was the #1 cable drama during its Friday night at 10 Pm timeslot (based on Live + 7 data) in Adults 18-49, Adults 25-54 and total viewers.

Haven airs on Syfy in the Us and Showcase in Canada.
The supernatural drama series Haven has been renewed for a 13-episode fourth season to air in 2013, Showcase has announced.
Haven, is loosely based on the novella The Colorado Kid by Stephen King. The show is set in the titular seaside town which is supposed to be on the coast of Maine, although the series is filmed in Nova Scotia, Canada. Despite its picture postcard appearance, Haven has a turbulent history as a result of the so-called ‘troubles’ that afflict the local residents.
Front and center in events in Haven is Audrey Parker (Emily Rose). In the series premiere Parker comes to the town as an FBI agent. However, after befriending local cop Nathan Wournos (Lucas Bryant) and the roguish Duke Crocker (Eric Balfour) she joins the Haven Pd and investigates the town’s many secrets. Some of these have...

Those of us who know and love the very excellent Haven know that the town is a wee bit creepy. Previously it’s been the townspeople who have been slightly (or more than slightly) scary, but tonight we learn that even the buildings can have issues – or at least one special building can. In fact, the building used for the location shoot has a history of its own.
Featurette: Haven – Haunted House is Haunted

It wasn’t an incident-free shoot, by the way. In a recent interview, Eric Balfour told us that at one point “the ground underneath that house literally sucked my leg out from underneath me, threw me on the ground and then took out Emily with it.” Emily Rose agreed, and said that “we were really happy to get out of that house. It was creepy.” How cool is that?...

This new season of Haven is absolutely terrific; familiar yet fresh, just the way we like our favorite shows. We would absolutely hang out with – heck, we would date, if we were available and they were willing – any of the main characters of this show. Charming, intelligent, witty, perceptive, loyal, supportive, and each one of them an absolute biscuit. Yes, even the Teagues. There is just something about this town…

Some of the best news coming out of Syfy lately is the fact that Haven is returning for its third season on September 21, less than a month away. There is an atmosphere on the show, set in a small seaside town in Maine (no surprise, as it’s based on a novella by Stephen King), that combines with the exceptional cast chemistry and fantastically twisty plots to make it easily my favorite show on Syfy. You could say it has – sorry – an Edge.
Because it does. WWE superstar Edge (Adam Copeland) joined the show for a few guest appearances last season as Dwight, a “cleaner” of the aftermath of Troubled incidents, and now we hear from Syfy that he’ll be back for Season 3. It would be easy to suspect that this is stunt casting, but honestly, he’s a natural. The show has consistently excellent writing, but the actors still need to bring it,...
