Miklós Egyed

Dr. Egyed, Miklos (Dr. Miklos Egyed in English), was born in Hungary on
August 15, 1915.
In addition to being a composer, he was also a physician and a soldier in the Hungarian Army. He wrote the Hungarian hit "Joska Lelkem" which he heard for the first time on the radio while he was fighting on the "Russian front". He was captured and taken a prisoner of war, and faked being crippled to escape his captors.
In December of 1947, he married Sarolta Ferenczy, and they had two daughters, Sarolta & Andrea. They escaped to the United States in 1956 during the Hungarian Revolution, and settled in Cleveland, Ohio.
