- Ty Law makes his film debut playing a wide receiver from Dallas Carter High School in the film Friday Night Lights. NFL fans will know Law as the starting cronerback for the New England Patriots.
After completing a terrific college career at the University of Michigan, Law was selected by the Patriots with the 23rd selection of the first round in the 1995 NFL Draft. Law played in 13 games his rookie season, and has been a starter ever since. In his second season, he appeared in Super Bowl XXI in Nee Orleans, where the Patriots came up short against the Green Bay Packers, 35-21. In 1998, he registered a career high 9 interceptions.
Law has become a fixture on the defense, and when Bill Belichick was hired to be the head coach, Law and his teammates began dominating the NFL. In February of 2002, at the conclusion of the 2001 season, he and the Pats returned to New Orleans to play in Super Bowl XXXVI, where they defeated the favored St. Louis Rams 20-17. Law intercepted a Kurt Warner pass, and raced 47 yards for a touchdown.
Two years later, Law again was a member of a Super Bowl champion team with New England. This time, in Houston, they defeated the Carolina Panthers 32-29.
