Glenn Danzig (Verotika) brought his Vampire Spaghetti-Western Death Rider in the House of Vampires to select theaters back in 2021, but it’s been quite a while since we’ve heard a peep about the project. When will you actually be able to watch the movie?
Bloody Disgusting has learned this week that Cleopatra will be releasing Glenn Danzig’s Death Rider in the House of Vampires on DVD and Blu-ray sometime in December 2023!
You can pre-order your copy – various editions are available – right now.
Patrick Bromley wrote in his 2021 review for Bloody Disgusting, “Death Rider in the House of Vampires has all the charm of Verotika, and nearly all of its flaws, too. That’s probably damning praise, encouraging fans of the latter to seek out the former while scaring off those who found Danzig’s first film to be insufferable. I can’t fault either party for rushing out...

Glenn Danzig (Verotika) brought his Vampire Spaghetti-Western Death Rider in the House of Vampires to select theaters back in 2021, you may recall, but it’s been quite a while since we’ve heard a peep about the project. Screen Daily breaks the silence this week, revealing that Death Rider in the House of Vampires is coming to Cannes this month.
Screen Daily reports, “Vmi Worldwide has added action-horror feature Death Rider in the House of Vampires to its slate for the Cannes market.”
What does this mean? Well, it means that Danzig’s Death Rider in the House of Vampires will be going up for sale this month, which could bring us closer to a wide release. Beyond that limited theatrical release back in 2021, the film hasn’t been seen or heard from since.
Stay tuned for more as we learn it.

Seventeen years after the original, and four years since the last film in the franchise, Evil Bong 777, Evil Bong 888: Infinity High brings the saga of EeBee to a close. At least that’s what director and Full Moon head honcho, Charles Band is saying now, but as we all knew, he’s never met a sequel he didn’t like.
Rabbit has finally decided to turn over a new leaf and become a legit businessman, a restaurateur to be precise. While his first day in business doesn’t bring him much business it does bring him a Maître d’, or Maître Double d’ as he puts it, Thomasina “Tom” Atkins.
But there are also problems...

I’m not sure what’s more surprising, that I’m reviewing a movie called Death Rider in the House of Vampires or that, after Verotika, somebody put up money for Glenn Danzig to make another movie. But here we are.
As the film opens Death Rider is riding through a desert filled with warning signs and crucified bodies. He leads another horse, with a bound, topless woman on it. She is his entrance fee to Sanctuary, one female virgin. She looks like she probably couldn’t remember when she actually was a virgin but that’s besides the point.
After riding for what seems to be hours and running into some trouble from Bela Latigo he arrives...

Glenn Danzig is getting anxious for a return to “normal.” A year ago, the heavy-metal singer turned horror filmmaker was editing his new feature, a blood-soaked “vampire spaghetti Western” called Death Rider in the House of Vampires, when the Covid-19 pandemic forced the world into lockdown. Now that the film is complete, and quarantine protocols are loosening up, he’s hoping to get it into theaters within the next couple of months.
“We’ve already got a plan to go to theaters with it around the country,” he says one day in late March.

Given that things are utterly bananas in the world right now, I think we’re all looking for places where we can get some comfort food, both of the literal and figurative variety. And when I think of comforting experiences in the horror genre, I think Caroline Williams. Ever since I first saw her play Vanita “Stretch” Brock in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2, I’ve noticed that even her screams seem to have an element of laidback southern charm as all manner of gore and mayhem play out around her. She’s been a prolific presence on both the big and small screens since the ’80s, but she always manages to find her way back to the horror fold with turns in Stepfather II, Rob Zombie’s Halloween II, Leprechaun 3, and Verotika. So for this month’s movie, I’m going to combine her comforting screen presence with a film...

Glenn Danzig is well aware that his fans sometimes call him “Evil Elvis.” “That’s fine,” he says with a laugh. “Anytime someone mentions my name and Elvis’ name in the same sentence, that’s great. It doesn’t get better than that.”
Danzig’s love for the King has been well documented over the years, as he’s covered Presley tracks going back to the early days of his pioneering punk group the Misfits. He famously included an ultra-metallic take on Presley’s King Creole track “Trouble” (“I’m evil,...

With so many folks out there looking for ways to keep themselves entertained at home right now, perhaps this new batch of home media releases might have something to offer you this week. If you missed it in theaters last year, the controversial Black Christmas remake hits both Blu-ray and DVD this Tuesday, and Scream Factory has put together a fourth volume in their Universal Horror Collection series, which looks like a must-own for all classic genre fans out there.
Also headed to Blu this week is The Nines, which is one of my favorite underseen films from Ryan Reynolds, as well as Cannibal Apocalypse, featuring John Saxon. We also have Glenn Danzig’s Verotika coming out on Tuesday and if you need something to keep the kiddos busy, Jumanji: The Next Level should do the trick.

BoJack Horseman, Season Six
In the Netflix animated comedy-drama’s final season, BoJack Horseman reckons with his past mistakes. While the clip keeps new plot points under ties, it reveals an emotional monologue from BoJack (voiced by Will Arnett). “I used to feel like my whole life was an acting job, doing an impression of the people I saw on television, which was just a projection of equally screwed up writers and actors. I felt like a Xerox of a Xerox of a person.” However, all may not be lost for the anthropomorphic horse.

The first trailer for legendary rocker Glenn Danzig's directorial debut, Verotika has landed ahead of the film's release in February and it looks as mad as you hoped. Based on his own hit comics (also called Verotika), the film has gained something of a huge cult following since its premiere at Cinepocalypse in June, with some calling it the new The Room (and we think that's a compliment). Compiled as a horror anthology, Verotika takes us deep inside Danzig's own psyche with stories focused on horror content that's often sexual, violent and usually featuring scantily-clad female protagonists. Cleopatra Entertainmnet will release the film on VOD on February 25 with a Blu-ray release scheduled for March 3, 2020. Check out the trailer below:...

Glenn Danzig revels in murder, mayhem and some light Satanic ritual in the outrageous new trailer for the rocker’s directorial debut, Verotika.
The horror anthology, based on Danzig’s comic book series of the same name, is set to hit video-on-demand services February 25th, with a Blu-ray scheduled to arrive March 3rd.
Verotika premiered at Chicago’s Cinepocalypse last summer, and it was more-or-less praised for being so unabashedly over-the-top and gruesome, even eliciting comparisons to the so-bad-it’s-so-good cult classic, The Room. The new trailer boasts that pure horror camp vibe completely,...

Exclusive: Cleopatra Entertainment is set for a Halloween VOD roll-out for Glenn Danzig’s directorial debut Verotika, the horror/thriller anthology that just made its world premiere at Cinepocalypse in Chicago and will follow that up next week (June 25) with a West Coast premiere at the Montalban Theatre in Los Angeles. Today on Deadline an exclusive first look at the project’s new poster (below) which clearly reflects the comic book roots and horror punk sensibilities of the veteran musician.
Written and directed by Danzig, Verotika was produced by James Cullen Bressack and Jarrett Furst for Cleopatra Entertainment. The anthology ensemble includes Alice Haig, Ashley Wisdom, Kayden Kross, Natalia Borowsky, Rachel Alig, Scotch Hopkins, and Sean Kanan.
