Abe Budin
- Actor
Abe Budin was a butcher in the Jewish quarter of Los Angeles, and was
discovered by motion picture director
E. Mason Hopper, which lead to his
appearance what is probably his only film role, Soptkn in Hungry Hearts
(1922). To prepare for her role in the film, actress Helen Ferguson
went to live with Budin and his family in their home behind his
delicatessen, and worked as a cashier in the store. Little else is
known about him, although his acting did make a good impression of
critics of the day.
