The effects of reality TV and social media on the human psyche are still being explored. In an era where anyone can put themselves on camera at a moment’s notice, our most frustrating moments can be captured in the blink of an eye. Hulu’s new documentary, The Contestant, follows the story of Nasubi. American audiences may not know Nasubi, the comedian turned reality star lived in a small windowless room without or consistent food for over a year.
For his time on the show Denpa Shonen, Nasubi was stripped of his clothes and lived exclusively in this room. His only sustenance came from winning awards from magazine competitions. His goal was to win prizes and gifts with a total value of over 1 million Yen (or under $9000). Unbeknownst to him, Nasubi’s days were recapped on Denpa Shonen, and his room was live-streamed for over a year.

Cameron went into the show determined to get a few things off his chest and didn’t paint his ex Clare Kerr in a positive light.
However, Becca wasn’t going to sit by and let him disparage her friend with claims she tried to manipulate him behind the scenes.
Becca hit back at Cameron about the shady things that Clare revealed about his behavior.
Cameron was armed with receipts and fans applauded him for exposing everything that went on during his rocky marriage.

Sophie Skelton in ‘Outlander’ season 7 episode 5 (Photo Credit: Starz)
Starz’s Outlander season seven episode five splits time between Brianna starting work in her new job as Plant Inspector and Jamie, Claire, and Ian’s experiences in Fort Ticonderoga.
The episode begins with Brianna (Sophie Skelton) finding Jemmy and Mandy in the old family graveyard and reminding them it’s not a playground. Jem admits that Mandy wanted to speak to granddad, although no one knows if that’s where he’s buried. Bree agrees it’s possible, and Jem confesses that he built a cairn for Jamie.
It’s too difficult for Bree even to enter the graveyard, so she remains at the gate. She’s not ready to take that step yet.
Bree returns home and holds more of her mom and dad’s letters. Roger (Richard Rankin) joins her, and she explains that the kids visit Jamie...

The slogan “Keep Austin Weird” doesn’t make much sense. It implies that weirdness requires effort and upkeep, like laundry or a monthly bill. But on the fourth and final night of Rolling Stone’s Future of Music Showcase, the weird, awesome stuff was there in abundance.
The mood at Acl Live at the Moody Theater was one wild concoction of SXSW and St. Patrick’s Day on a Friday night, with a crowd that featured leprechaun top hats, men in full Santa attire, glowsticks, and more. The openers, Atlanta duo Coco & Clair Clair,...
