Who knew that a Jag spinoff about investigating naval crimes would become one of the most popular and long-running shows on CBS? NCIS premiered in September 2003 and has been going strong ever since. However, the show has seen some big changes over the years, including several high-profile cast departures, as well as a subtle name change. Early on, NCIS had a slightly different title to avoid confusion with another popular show on the network.

Eric Szmanda returned to the CSI franchise on CSI: Vegas Season 2 Episode 17, reprising his role from the original series, and he is sticking around a bit longer.
TV Fanatic chatted with him about his comeback, how he's interacting with everyone, and how long he's sticking around.
Check it out.
Hi Eric. It's great to see you on CSI: Vegas. What made you decide to return to the franchise?
The fans. I really missed the character, and when the show started, many fans asked where I was. The more time that went on, I felt I needed to do this.
What kind of story did they pitch to get you to return?
There was no pitch. I got the script and discovered what I would be doing and what little bits of information they were given about where Greg had been.
So where has Greg been?
I like to think that...

If you thought that CBS’ CSI: Vegas was done with Greg Sanders so soon, rest assured that there is more of CSI vet Eric Szmanda to come.
Szmanda — who has more than 330 episodes of the Og CSI under his belt — marked his return to the franchise amidst the emotionally charged March 30 episode that guest-starred Regina Taylor. But Greg will be seen at least two more times, in the episodes airing this Thursday, April 13 (in which the team investigates a bomb that detonated at a masquerade party for wealthy casino investors) and then May 4.
