Richard Riehl has worked in sound for over 30 years. He studied at the
Institute of Audio Research in New York and at George Lucas' Skywalker
Ranch. He was an active member of the Audio Engineering Society and ran
recording studios, engineered and directed several radio programs. He
spent over 7 years mixing live concerts for his wife, Carla Riehl.
He founded Artistic Sound, Inc of Aspen and Telluride CO. There he
designed and installed high end AV systems for celebrities and
billionaires. He is a respected expert on AV design and a popular
columnist in Residential Systems Magazine.
Rich shot his first documentary film in Israel in 1978. He has
completed extensive film studies at Colorado Film/Video Institute and
UCLA. In 2002 he founded Real Media Productions. He moved to LA and
worked with Santa Monica Pictures a feature film and other productions.
Since moving to LA, Rich has been very active as a production sound
mixer. He has worked on numerous projects, including a Telly Award
winning commercial for Spike TV. He worked with Santa Monica pictures editing a feature film. He is
not currently active in this industry.
