Are you keenly awaiting to see Brandon Routh's Ray Palmer character on "Arrow" slip on a superhero suit to become the size-changing 'The Atom'? You will get to see that, just not on that show.
Executive producer Marc Guggenheim tells Green Arrow TV that the plan is to maintain keeping "Arrow" as grounded as possible, super powers are still out despite sharing the same universe as "The Flash":
"I think anything is possible. My instinct is that if Ray Palmer's going to shrink, he'll probably shrink on another show. With The Flash in existence, there's no real compelling reason for us to do super powers on Arrow. We can bring characters to Flash to have super powers. We have plans for Ray that don't involve shrinking, but our plans for Ray are actually really cool."
Guggenheim also spoke about the upcoming crossover episodes between the two shows to take place later this year.

He’s burned personal and professional bridges, killed dozens of people, given away his company to a complete stranger… the more Deathstroke orchestrates the world around him, the more Oliver’s lost his already-precarious grip on the various lives he’s trying to juggle.

"No Ordinary Family" and "Entourage" star Autumn Reeser, who we will always think of as Taylor Townsend from "The O.C." no matter what else she does, has landed a new role - as a mom!
Reeser and her husband, writer/producer Jesse Warren, welcomed their son on Tuesday just before 11 Am. The baby boy's name is Finn - which is refreshingly normal. We're looking at you, Alicia Silverstone.
Of course, mom and dad's first instinct... was to update Baby Finn's Twitter. No, seriously. You can follow him at @Baby_Warren, where he has been tweeting from the womb. We're guessing that now that he's, you know, breathing, his tweets will only get more riveting.
Finn was born at around 7 lbs and 20 inches long.

Online destinations are vying for ad dollars this Upfront season, but they aren’t the only ones courting advertisers with web original programming. Bet today announced its new slate of shows for its 2011 Upfront presentation tonight in New York City. In addition to the Viacom-owned network’s staples - like the Hip Hop Awards and 106 and Park - Bet is adding a handful of web sereis to its roster, many of which were created, written by, and star individuals who Tubefilter readers will find familiar. The shows include: Lenox Avenue - A dramatic web series that tells the story of three male friends in their mid-twenties, who are good dressers and busy navigating the rough terrain of love, relationships and careers. Set in Harlem, this series is produced by Al Thompson’s (Johnny B. Homeless, The Royal Tenenbaums) ValDean Entertainment and features Thompson as Owen and Dorian Missick (Lucky Nember) as Sellars.

Speaking with People at the Badgley Mischka flagship opening in Beverly Hills, the No Ordinary Family star spilled the beans on baby — it’s a boy due in May! — and says that although she’s taking birthing classes with husband Jesse Warren, she’s going easy on the parenthood preparation books.

Actress Autumn Reeser revealed that she's pregnant with her first child on last night's Jimmy Kimmel Live! Although she currently stars on ABC's No Ordinary Family, we best know her as the annoying Mischa Barton replacement from The Oc.
“I’m pregnant,” she told Jimmy as she pointed to her barely-there baby bump. The 30-year-old actress joked that her husband, film producer Jesse Warren, would find out the news by watching the show.
She and Jesse married in May 2009.

Autumn Reeser has confirmed that she is expecting her first child with husband Jesse Warren. During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Reeser explained that her pregnancy was the reason why her dress fit her snugly. "I wanted to wear [the dress] but I was a little nervous about wearing it tonight because it's a little tight and I'm carrying a little extra weight," she said. "I drank a lot of beer before I came here... No, I'm pregnant actually." The (more)...

Actress Autumn Reeser is expecting her first child with her writer/director husband Jesse Warren.
The former The O.C. star, 30, revealed the news during an appearance on late night talk show Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Tuesday, after confessing she was feeling self-conscious about her figure in her little black dress.
Initially joking about having a beer gut, she told presenter Kimmel, "I wanted to wear it (the dress) but I was a little nervous about wearing it tonight because it's a little tight and I'm carrying a little extra weight... I drank a lot of beer before I came here... No, I'm pregnant actually!"
But Reeser admits she has "no idea" how writers behind her new U.S. superhero series No Ordinary Family will deal with her expanding belly on the show.
She says, "I have no idea. I mean work knows, I've told them, because my character (Katie Andrews) is really kind of not so great with men, but it is a superhero show, so it could be like a magical thing that happens! I don't know."
Reeser and Warren wed in May 2009.

A cocktail party so crazy you have to sign a waiver just to get in? I was intrigued. Intrigued enough to hop on the freeway a few miles up to a dark corner of North Hollywood to find the undisclosed home base of the web’s latest live-streaming reality show. Walking up to the three-story loft building it became clear this wasn’t going to be my run-of-the-mill Saturday night drinks at a friend’s place. Before entering the ControlTV loft, I’m hustled into a back room filled with producers and burly Pa types ushering me through a waiver and some ground rules. “Try to keep this PG-13,” said one of the younger producers on duty that night. “Just basically don’t drop the f-bomb too much.” She mentions the 30-second delay on the live stream they’ve set up just in case we get out of hand. And...

Mark Gantt is a mysterious man. Ok, actually if you're been paying even passing attention to web series over the past year then you're no doubt familiar with the story of him and partner Jesse Warren hustling together a spec trailer to a web series (The Bannen Way) they hadn't even shot yet and landing full season order and distribution from Sony Pictures Television. But there's still a mystery to this guy. And this weekend Streamy-winner Gantt plans to share some of his secrets to carving out his own path in the entertainment industry and not waiting for success to just come to him. His "Create Your Own Career" workshop is this Saturday, August 28th in Los Angeles from 9am - 6pm and looks to be targeted at people looking to craft a project for the internet. The daylong class will cover the gambit of web entertainment topics like "Producing for the Web,...

By now, if you follow even passively the world of web series, you know well who Mark Gantt and Jesse Warren are. They were the two aspiring creators that defied the odds, making just a trailer to pitch their action drama—The Bannen Way—to anyone who would fund it, ultimately landing a deal with Sony Pictures Television for release on its online network Crackle. To be sure, it was one heck of a slick looking trailer, and there’s something to be said about having Neal Bannen (Gantt) himself making the pitch. Today as the DVD of the complete first season of the Streamy-winning series, cut together as a 94-minute full-length feature movie, hits the shelves, the story has come full circle. Like most of the high-profile Crackle series, the web was a stop along the way of a project’s malleable journey through multiple platforms and content windows.

Film schools have long served as launching pads for film and television careers, and now most major universities offer at least some sort of filmmaking courses, even for those not looking to jump into entertainment. A number of schools have begun looking academically at the impacts of new media on culture and the future of entertainment, but so far the more practical nuts and bolts of web series production and distribution have yet to make it onto into the university course lists. In Los Angeles, two new Web TV education programs have launched this month looking to fill that gap —and at a fraction of a film school tuition. NewMedialocity and Web TV Workshop both offer four-week intro courses for creative types looking to learn how to get an original web series project off the ground. Both take the approach of teaching through experienced guest teachers—those brave souls who...

At first look, it might seem strange that a celebration is scheduled for Tax Day, which still in times of economic hardship would seem like a time to reflect on where one went wrong. After all, celebrations are rewards, aren't they? We're not paying anything (bar tabs aside). Tonight, though, we're paying our Respect Tax. To the web, to ourselves, to each other. I'm not going to get sappy - partially because as I write this a raging of a hangover is on the horizon (look for that as a metaphor later in this piece!). However, in her acceptance speech at the Celebrate the Web, post-Streamys gathering, Felicia Day said, "We want to be authentic to ourselves," as why we work on the web. So I'm going to pound a Red Bull and write this with the honesty it deserves. I hate crowds. It's my lot, because I am destined...

On a windy, overcast Sunday afternoon the 2010 Streamy Awards took over the Orpheum Theater in downtown Los Angeles. Even though the FearNet webseries “Fear Clinic,” directed by Robert Hall and starring genre favorites Robert Englund, Kane Hodder, Danielle Harris, and Lisa Wilcox, stood alone to represent our favorite genre, that doesn’t mean there wasn’t a gaggle of horror-related goodies to indulge in while working the red carpet event before the show.
Before the Streamy Awards were under way, Dread Central’s red carpet team of Heather Wixson and Brian Smith had the opportunity to catch up with some new faces in horror as well as some of the genre’s most beloved personalities.
Since we never want to deprive our readers of any sort of awesomeness, Dread Central has cooked up two videos from the Streamy Awards red carpet event. The first video is chock-full of interviews.

The nominees for the 2010 Streamys were announced today. The Streamys celebrate online television programming and this year they have a fantastic line up of nominees. Last year was the Streamys debut year and the winners included high profile shows such as Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog and the exceptional Battlestar Galactica web series The Face of the Enemy.
This year there is even more competition with some really interesting content now being released on the web rather than through more traditional media routes. Two of my favourites from this year’s nominee list are the excellent Interview Project which is presented by davidlynch.com and the slightly flawed but thoroughly enjoyable Angel of Death, created by Ed Brubaker and starring Zoe Bell, which also received a DVD release last year.
The awards ceremony takes place on April 11th 2010 and the full list of nominees is listed below with handy links...

Still nothing like the big screen when web series look this good. Seriously, at the risk of selling out my 640 pixel comrades, there is something that happens when you sit back and watch some of these web series we all get excited about in their full uncompressed HD glory. And The Bannen Way, the high octane thrill ride shot on the Red One camera, is well worthy of some cinematic screen time. That and sharing the experience with a few hundred fellow vicarious adrenaline junkies. This Friday evening Sony's Crackle is hosting a special La screening of the complete first season of The Bannen Way at the American Cinemateque's Egyptian Theater in Hollywood. It's the latest in a series of screenings at the Egyptian that show the internet some love, with previous screenings including Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog, The Guild, Strike.TV and Funny or Die. On hand for a...
