Americo Maria Cicolani was born in Italy where he attended the
Accademia d'Arte Drammatica "P. Sharoff" and later the Centro
Sperimentale di Cinematografia. At the age of 25 he directed his first
play, Luigi Pirandellos'The License and later collaborated with the
Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia to produce 5 short films for
Italian television. In 1993 he moved to London to develop an acting
career in theatre productions. After two years in London he moved to
Los Angeles and in 2000 he established his own film production company,
Amiternum Films. In Los Angeles he worked professionally as an actor,
director and producer. Through Amiternum Films he has directed and
produced many independent projects including the most recent
documentary, "Diario Americano", featuring Italian artists living in
Hollywood.
