Lakshman then devises a hilarious plan and tries to get Pallavi hitched to an eligible Nri groom (Adhaar Khurana). What follows is absolute mayhem, endless fun, and impossible wedding moments.
Akarsh Khurana says, “Some stories are just an absolute joy to tell, and ‘Yeh Shaadi Nahi Ho Sakti’ was one such project from the very beginning. The cast and crew and I absolutely loved blending the colourful quirks of the 90s with the comedic genius of Shakespeare,...

The aborted project was to star Rajkummar Rao, Hussain Dalal, Shikha Talsania and Razaak Khan. Akarsh had also cast his father Akaash Khurana and Shernaz Patel in prominent parts. But since the project is produced by Bejoy Nambiar, Akarsh is in no position to helm the project any more.
Says Akarsh, "The story idea was Bejoy's. But the screenplay was done by Adhir Bhatt, Hussain Dalal and me. It's a road movie about three dysfunctional people on a journey of self-discovery."
Last heard, Bejoy was trying to get another director for the project.
