Rani was born and raised in Santa Barbara, Ca. She found her love of acting at a very young age in community theater and Improv. She followed her sister to an acting class at 11 years old and found herself on stage within minutes! She continued to work non stop and at 15 traveled through out California with Planned Parenthood Teen Theatre and continued to work through out California both in Regional and Local Theatre. She work with San Diego's Old Globe Theater and the traveling company. She is versatile both in comedy and drama and can tap her way out of almost anything! She is proud of her roots in Santa Barbara's Theater taught her at an early age what was expected and whats needed to continue in this business.
She landed in Los Angeles at 23 where she worked on her first Film The Still Life, and continued her training in Improv! She was invited to work with Peter Frisch head of Carnegie Mellon for 4 years and under the study of Peter developed her chops and returned to her roots of Theatre and ultimately changed her life as an actress and is forever grateful.
She works with YSF in Los Angeles, and has found her love and writing go hand in hand! Her avid love of all things funny took her to New York City. She has studied with HB Studio and is working on her one woman show.
Most recently she starred in Rocky Horror Picture Show as Columbia which was picked up for the SBIFF documentary shorts. (2015)
She also wrote and starred in Selma Ave. featured at the 2015 Toscars. (2015)
