Entertainment journalist and film critic Anderson Jones died Thursday of a massive coronary. He was 38.
He had been attending a screening of Paramount Vantage's A Mighty Heart at the Arclight Cinemas in Hollywood when he was stricken and was pronounced dead by emergency workers en route to a hospital.
Jones, one of the first wave of Internet-based entertainment reporters, had worked for TNT's roughcut.com, E! Online and most recently, filmstew.com. He also appeared on air at E!, CNN Headline News and on AMC's Movie Club with John Ridley.
He is survived by his mother, Anna L. Jones; his father Anderson Jones; his brother, Arnold L. Jones; and his sister Angela L. Jones.
Details of a memorial service, tentatively scheduled for Saturday in Long Beach, are currently pending.
