His film Hangnail premiered at the Slamdance Film Festival, while most recently, his psychological horror film Receiver won Best Short Film at the Toronto Reel Asian Int'l Film Festival.
Cavan has contributed to international feature films (It, xXx: Return of Xander Cage, The Ballad of Jack and Rose), series TV (Star Trek: Discovery, Heroes Reborn), and commercials. Making his home in Toronto, Canada, he is a member of the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (I.A.T.S.E).
