Her husband, Ronald Kass, is a vice-president of a manufacturer of home decorating/furnishing products.
She worked behind the camera as a producer at CNN before moving into an on-air. In 1995, she jumped to CNBC, where she handled anchoring duties until returning to CNNfn in 1998 as an on-air program host.
Earned a B.A. degree in mathematics at John Hopkins University, graduating summa cum laude, in 1983. After graduation, she worked at CNN, from 1986-1995, in various capacities.
Has two sisters.
