- Scott once appeared in a Regional Theater production of "Hamlet" with Connor Trinneer better known as Commander Trip Tucker III of the TV series Star Trek: Enterprise (2001) (2001-05).
- Has 2 stepsons, Ian and Alec.
- From 2007-2009, Scott appeared in five films for the 48 Hour Film Festival.
- Actually filmed aboard the USS Cole for the Discovery channel program Almost History: The USS Cole (2006).
- Scott proposed to his wife Lynn Rollins during the final curtain call of the play "Tea and Sympathy", in which they both appeared at The Little Theatre of Norfolk, November 2005.
- Scott received a special thanks in the Editor's Note of The Film Encyclopedia's 7th Edition for his contribution to the reference book.
- Since 2012, Scott has maintained The Scott Rollins Film & TV Trivia Blog, a tribute blog to unsung members in the entertainment field.
