Rockstar singer-songwriter Kim Bingham started her career as
frontwoman of Montreal ska phenomenon Me, Mom & Morgentaler. She
continued her musical journey with solo projects Mudgirl and The Kim
Band, as well as being part of touring bands for international artists
such as Nelly Furtado, Bran Van 3000 and David Usher. In 2007, the
charming singer made a splash in Quebec with the TV series Les
Invincibles (Radio Canada), for which she composed the original score
and won a Prix Gémeaux (Canadian Emmy award) for Best TV Theme Song
during the series' award-winning three seasons.
Released independently in Canada in 2012 (MMG/Distribution Sélect), Kim's new album UP! marks her return to the spotlight. Influenced by pop-rock artists like David Bowie, Blondie, The Strokes, The Beatles, Kim Bingham's UP! brims with a jukebox feel. Written in Paris and recorded in Los Angeles and Montreal, UP! features stellar musicians from Queens of the Stone Age, Jellyfish and Blind Melon. Not only an expression of her immense zest for life, UP! is also a warm thank you to all the collaborators who supported and helped her in becoming the evolving artist she is today.
