New documents released by the Kansas City Police Dept. recount the last conversation Jovan had with his mentors before killing himself. Read on for more details. Kansas City Chiefs head coach Romeo Crennel pleaded with NFL linebacker Jovan Belcher to not kill himself, saying "You're taking the easy way out." Those words fell on deaf ears, as the athlete pulled the trigger, shooting himself in the head. After fatally shooting his girlfriend, and the mother of his baby daughter, Kasandra Perkins, at their home on Dec. 1, the troubled athlete drove to his team's facility where he exchanged words with the Kansas Chiefs Gm Scott Pioli in the parking lot. According to TMZ, Jovan told Pioli, "I'm sorry Scott, I've done a bad thing to my girlfriend already. I want to talk with Gibbs and Romeo." He went on to say, "You know that I've been having some major problems at home and with my girlfriend.

Jovan Belcher, linebacker for the Kansas City Chiefs, committed suicide early Saturday morning, just after he reportedly shot and killed his pregnant girlfriend. Although authorities have not yet confirmed many details, Belcher, 25, apparently fought with his girlfriend early Saturday and then drove to Arrowhead Stadium, his team's facility, where he killed himself in front of head coach Romeo Crennel and other team personnel at approximately 8:10 Am, local time.
