Jon Sullivan's career in
television began in 1982 after graduating from Hofstra University with
a B.A. in Communications. Working his way into the business, Jon spent
the first few years of his career as a free-lance production assistant
and grip in New York City.
In 1985 Jon joined Mountain View Productions, a production house in Schenectady, NY. He began as an Editor and was quickly promoted to Producer/Director. In 1990, Jon created his own production company entitled Sidestreet Productions. He is the former head of commercial production for the ABC affiliate in Washington DC. Since 1995, Jon made his mark in the production world of the nations capital by winning nine local Emmy Awards, twelve National Telly awards, the CINE Gold Eagle Award, and he is one of the few local producers to have won the coveted National Emmy Award for a Community Service Campaign entitled Make Time To Listen, Take Time To Talk About Bullying. Jon's award winning commercials include campaigns for Character Education for Children, The Boys and Girls Club of Greater Washington, and the Choose to Save Retirement Savings Campaign.
Jon wrote and directed the award winning short "Burnt Toast" which was the toast of The 2005 Annapolis Film Festival. Jon lives in Maryland with his wife Jill and two children Danielle and Michael. He is the nephew of acclaimed actress Susan Sullivan
