Born in Santiago in 1984. Luis Smok is a film and advertising director, producer and scriptwriter. He studied filmmaking at the Cinema University of Argentina (FUC).
From 2009 to 2012 he worked for some Latin networks, such as FOX, Discovery Channel and History Channel, where he was part of the productions of "Hitman's Tale" and "Hitler's Scape", where both documentaries were nominated for the EMMY Award for Best International Documentary. In 2011, and after almost a decade in Argentina, Lucho returns to Chile to create his own production company "Grita Medios", a chilean company with which he has released three feature films and one short film. "Cold Breath", "Medea", and "Swing". His third feature film as producer "Swing" was his first title as a director.
"Swing" would end up becoming the third most watched chilean film of 2018. He also directed "500kms" the first web series for DERCO, and produced "En Partida" a documentary web series about League of Legends by Riot Games.
