Most of the Marvel fandom has either been a part of or witnessed the everlasting debate about two of its iconic superhero groups, and Marvel Snap is set to settle the argument once and for all in its new update. In February, the digital card game primarily revolved around the Mad Titan Thanos and his support squad, but as the new season is ready for launch this week, Earth’s Mightiest Heroes will face off against their Mutant frenemies.
Avengers vs X-Men has always been a hot topic among the comics fanbase, and since the Marvel Cinematic Universe seems to be taking a bit too long to adapt the massive 2012 crossover event, developer Second Dinner is taking matters into its own hands.

Second Dinner, the game development studio behind digital collectible card game Marvel Snap, has unveiled a $100 million Series B investment led by venture capital firm Griffin Gaming Partners.
The capital injection makes Griffin Gaming Partners a minority investor along with original investor NetEase. Marvel Snap has reached 22 million-plus downloads and $200 million-plus in revenue since its launch in 2022, the firm said.
“This investment not only boosts our capacity and gives us capital to jump on any great opportunities that might come our way, but most importantly, solidifies our commitment to making the most fun games ever,” said Hamilton Chu, co-founder and CEO of Second Dinner.
“We’re grateful to have Griffin Gaming Partners on our team,” said chief operating officer Matt Wyble. “From our first conversation, it was clear they love Snap and respect our need to be free to make the best games we can. This investment will help us make more awesome stuff!

Long-time Overwatch director Jeff Kaplan stunned many by announcing that he has decided to leave Blizzard after almost 20 years with the company.
“I am leaving Blizzard Entertainment after 19 amazing years,” writes Kaplan in a brief farewell letter. “It was truly the honor of a lifetime to have the opportunity to create worlds and heroes for such a passionate audience. I want to express my deep appreciation to everyone at Blizzard who supported our games, our game teams, and our players. But I want to say a special thanks to the wonderful game developers that shared in the journey of creation with me. Never accept the world as it appears to be. Always dare to see it for what it could be. I hope you do the same.”

Let's have a look at the confirmed new titles and the biggest rumors in the world of superhero video games...
This article comes from Den of Geek UK.
Something about superheroes and video games just clicks together perfectly: whether you're swooping through Gotham as DC's Dark Knight or swinging through New York as Marvel's friendly neighborhood Spider-Man, the ability to step into the shoes of our favorite comic book characters - and beat up goons with their signature gadgets - is just pure, unadulterated fun.
We are, however, in a little bit of a no man's land at the moment. We waited for ages for Marvel's Spider-Man, but now that game and all of its Dlc is firmly in the rearview mirror. DC's most recent single-player superhero adventure title was Batman: Arkham Knight, which is even older. Neither of those games has a sequel officially announced,...

Marvel has snapped up former Hearthstone developers for an intriguing new project...
It looks like Marvel is readying a major new video game project and has enlisted a pretty impressive group of developers to develop it. The company is working with Ben Brode, who previously worked at Blizzard Entertainment and served as director on the free-to-play card-collecting mobile game Hearthstone until his departure from the company in 2018.
Brode went on to set up a new indie studio called Second Dinner, along with Hearthstone executive producer Hamilton Chu and some other Blizzard alumni and this is the team that will now be working on a Marvel title.
Chinese tech company NetEase has invested $30 million into Second Dinner, with the studio announcing that its first game will be set in the Marvel universe. The team revealed the news in a video. Check it out below:

“Hearthstone” game director Ben Brode announced on Friday that he’s leaving the company, after working at Blizzard for 15 years and on the online game for a decade. Today marks his last day.
“After 15 years at Blizzard and almost 10 years working on ‘Hearthstone,’ I have made the incredibly difficult decision to embark on a new journey,” Brode wrote in a post in the official forums for the game. “Man, that was a hard sentence to type.”
Brode wrote in his farewell note that he’s going to help start a new company. “We’ll probably make games, but we haven’t figured anything else out, yet,” he said. “I’m looking forward to designing, programming, and actually creating things again.”
While in many ways Brode was the face of Blizzard’s popular collective card game, thanks in part to his Reddit-requested rap song, he writes in his note that...

Hearthstone's Year of the Mammoth is drawing to a close, and Blizzard has dropped some of the first details regarding what we can expect from the upcoming Year of the Raven.
See related Westworld episode 10 review: The Bicameral Mind Westworld episode 9 review: The Well-Tempered Clavier
The Year of the Raven will begin whenever the next Hearthstone expansion releases. At that time, all cards released as part of the Whispers of the Old Gods, One Night in Kharazan, and Mean Streets of Gadgetzan will rotate out of the Standard format and into the game's Wild mode. They will be joined by the recently revealed Hall of Fame cards. Just as before, you'll still be able to purchase card packs and adventures related to sets that are rotating out of Standard.

Climbing to peak of Hearthstone's competitive ladder will soon require much less time, as Blizzard makes changes...
Blizzard has announced a series of changes designed to reduce the grind associated with Hearthstone's ranked mode.

If you're not able to view the video above, here's a basic breakdown of how the new ranked system will work.
Starting in March, each monthly seasonal reset will only set you back four ranks from where you ended your last season. For instance, if you end the March season at Rank 2 with four stars, you'll begin the next competitive season at Rank 6 with four stars. Previously, all players were reset to Rank 25 and moved up in ranks based on how they finished the last competitive season.
This is especially big news for Legend players who previously had to grind out hours and hours of games in order to...
