Skinford was shot and released in its native Australia and apparently nowhere else, in 2017. A sequel, Skinford: Chapter Two followed in 2018. So, when I saw the title Skinford: Death Sentence pop up on my radar I naturally enough thought it was a third film in the franchise.
Then I noticed the plot and crew credits were the same as the original film with just a couple of differences in the cast. A quick check of the copyright date confirmed this is not a new film. Nick Matthews was named Australian cinematographer of the year for his work on director Anthony Maras’ Hotel Mumbai at the annual Australian Cinematographers Society (Acs) National Awards on Saturday night.

John Seale (Mad Max: Fury Road), the late Andrew Lesnie (The Water Diviner) and Benjamin Shirley (The Pack) shared the prize for best cinema feature at the 2015 Nsw/Act annual awards for cinematography.
Seale also collected the Ross Wood senior judges award for 2015 best entry.

Daniel MacPherson and director Shane Abbess are mates and close creative collaborators, but that didn.t stop the pair having some robust discussions before the actor signed on for futuristic thriller SFv1.
MacPherson had appeared in Abbess. Infini and was developing several projects with the director when he was offered the co-lead role of Kane.
The actor did not have a clear sense of the narrative or the characters in the screenplay by Abbess and co-creator Brian Cacha, which is divided into multiple chapters, and asked for elucidation.

Greig Fraser has taken the Milli Award for Australian Cinematographer of the Year for his work on 2009′s Bright Star, at last Saturday’s Acs National Awards in Adelaide.
Other winners include Dion Beebe for the Us feature Nine, Stephen Windon for The Pacific, and Calvin Gardiner for the dramatised documentary I Spry.
Ron Taylor, Valerie Taylor and Malcolm Richards were inducted into the Acs Hall of Fame. The ceremony was dedicated to the memory of cinematographer and owner of Lemac Film and Digital John Bowring Acs, who passed away last month.
