Gerry Owens

Multi instrumentalist, composer, producer and vocalist, who's work spans multiple genres. Owens' career began when he signed to Chris Blackwell's label 'Palm Pictures' with Dublin rock band 'Skindive'. He composed and produced Skindive's Debut Album 'Skindive' followed by their second album 'Between The Cracks'. During this time Skindive had a Grammy track placement, an MTV Music Awards track placement and his music appeared in Anime classic 'Blood The Last Vampire', as well as various TV shows and movies around the world.
After Skindive, Gerry wrote and produced the 'Agents Of Empire' and 'Rise of the Reptile King' albums for his Industrial Alt Rock project 'Lluther'. Lluther toured extensively in Europe and the US between 2006 and 2012, during which time, Owens signed a worldwide publishing deal with EMI (Sony ATV) and composed music for games such as EA's Cyrsis 2 and Movies/Documentaries such as 'A Maverick In London' & Uri Geller's 'Cursed' Feature Length Documentary. He has worked alongside and learned from some of the finest talents in the industry, people such as Dave 'Rave' Ogilvie (Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson), Danny Saber (U2, Happy Mondays), Chris Blackwell (U2, Bob Marley, PJ Harvey, The Cranberries), Nick Ingman (Oasis, Annie Lennox, Björk, David Bowie), Alan Branch (Sinead O'Connor, Jeff Beck), Adrian Sherwood (NIN, Ministry, On-U Sound System) and many more.
In 2012, he set up his own label 'Black Bag Music. He has composed music for trailers such as 'Thor The Dark World', 'The Edge Of Tomorrow', 'San Andreas', 'Mission Impossible - Rogue Nation', 'The Lone Ranger' and 'Tomorrowland'. In 2020 he released his first two studio albums in 10 years. 'Waiting for April' followed by 'The Remnants' The work is contemporary classical and combines acoustic instrumentation and electronically manipulated recordings. A commission for the title music for audio book series Die Chroniken Der Seelenwächter in 2021 led to his ongoing project Zkullz
In 2022/23 Owens composed and mixed scores for: Thriller 'Cult Killer'(Shelley Hennig, Alice Eve, Antonio Banderas). Crime Comedy 'Clean Up Crew' (Antonio Banderas, Jonathan Rhys Meyers's, Melissa Leo). Action Comedy 'Guns Up' (Kevin James, Christina Ricci, Luis Guzmán, Francis Cronin)
