Oliver studied Graphic Design specializing in Photography at The
Norwich School of Art and Design. Whilst at University he developed his
passion for cinema and film; his work was influenced by great
cinematographers and directors like Gordon Willis, Douglas Slocombe,
Conrad Hall and Martin Scorsese.
After he graduated Oliver began to express himself in motion pictures, and gained valuable experience on film sets as a stills photographer. He applied all his photographic knowledge working as a camera assistant and quickly became familiar with various camera systems, operators and Directors of Photography.
As a cinematographer he has credits on several music videos, short films and documentaries. His approach to filmmaking is naturalistic and he aims to capture the emotional tone of his subject. Calm and accommodating, he enjoys working in new and challenging environments and with creative and expressive individuals.
