Writer and caricaturist who targeted politicians, religious figures, corruption and consumerism--among many other societal "ills" he saw around him--and wound up getting, among other things, excommunicated by the Catholic Church and kidnapped. His cartoons, under the name "Rius", appeared in newspapers and magazines and in more than 100 books.
